Therrien is no stranger to confrontations with his players. I like him for this group. Guy is a Richard. This group of players needs it |

I was thinking the same thing. Since he and Bergevin got rid of PK I guess that trade option is off the table. |

so the Flyers org is kinda going all out as far as coaching goes.
have a feeling there will be at least some sort of on-ice improvement for a few years before the coaching staff burns out. both AV and Therrien are kinda proven to have a short-ish shelf life. then it's back to square one but at least we'll hopefully have Frost, Farabee, Ratcliffe, and other young guys on the team by that point.
not really sure how to feel, just hope to see the team improve all around sooner rather than later.
as far as trades go, i would definitely float our 1st and Morin out there for another top 6 forward. see if some team bites and is willing to bet on Morin's size. not opposed to a Patrick trade either but it would have to bring back something substantial.
keep Ghost and build around a d core of him, Provy, Sanheim, Myers. Fill in the 5 and 6 D with cheap, decent options through FA or future prospects.
hope that Hart can continue to develop into everything we need him to be and get him a solid 1B.
Forwards look decent but could use at least one legitimate goal scorer.
Continue to draft well and don't go crazy in FA for anyone over 27/28 years old unless it's a legit star player. |

I'm thinking that the last experienced coach the Flyers had was Lavy. He has been gone what, 7 years? Ready to see what these guys can do. This team lacks focus for sure and perhaps motivation. We saw what coaching can do in many places. Vegas, Carolina, Isles, hell, St. Louis and even here with Gordon. Let's see what AV and his new henchman can do. Looking for all the assistants to be moving on. Therein replaces Knobs and Wilson came out of retirement. Only leaves Lappy. Time for new blood. Oh, forgot Dilabau? No idea how to spell him. Guess it depends on how he works with Hart. Also good to see Hart and AV in the world's. He can see up close what he has. |

Who is the top 6 forward? If it's a Zucarello type, 50 point forward, hard pass.

with the Jets in an impending cap crunch and possibly losing Trouba maybe you could swing a deal centered around Morin and a 1st (+)? for a guy like Connor. wouldn't be opposed to RNH either but they are all kinda long shots. just some wishful thinking on my end tbh. |

Bringing Therrien in I’m sure has gotten the attention of the players. It will be an interesting camp |

I really don’t think Morin has much value at all around the league. He’s a throw in right now. A mild sweetener |

Rather keep Morin as 7 hope he continues to develop and if not hes a cheap 7 with a bit of nasty. Hagg is the odd man out for me his skill set doesnt fit an AV system at all. Ghost I want to get at least a year to see how he fits this team.
Provy - vet
Sanheim - Myers
Ghost - gudas

yeah Hagg is pretty much a non factor for me. if he sticks around as a cheap 6/7, cool. if not he won't be sorely missed. |

I think he has more value than Morin though. Hes been a full time nhl player for 2 years. He can be a solid thiird pairing for someone.
Still hope we improve our top 6 and get a vet d man. I was wondering what Zucker and spurgeon combined would cost.

Zucker would be awesome. I'm not thrilled on Spurgeon but wouldn't be upset if both could be reasonably acquired. |

GMs seem quick to fire Therrien. He's been fired from teams with decent-to-good win/loss records. I get the sense he's abrasive and people lose tolerance for his style. He might be better suited as an assistant coach with a chill dude like Vigneault. |

https://www.broadstreetho...istant-coach-flyers-rumor
Just read it.
When translated into English, there is a segment coming from Briere that reads, “When I walked into the room, [Therrien] started picking me once again, showing me some gameplay [...] He ended his speech by saying, ‘There’s nobody in the room that respects you! There is no one who wants to play with you!’ It was incredibly mean.” He goes on to say “Everyone knew I was the target player [...] I was embarrassed, embarrassed, hurt,” and finishes with “The message was very clear: my opinion was not welcome and I was better off shutting up.”
Very interesting. I have no reason to doubt Briere, but saying something like that to a player (and its not clear if it was in front of the rest of the team) is ridiculous. Especially if it WAS in front of the team.
Again, just going on Briere's word here. that isn't just being mean, that kind of statement undermines a whole team.

The Jets and Lightning are two teams that I'm interested in seeing what they do this offseason (and of course the Flyers). |

I'll repeat what I often say. When teams have a cap issue, they don't normally move players like Connor.
