the more I hear, the more I think risto stays

at least to start the season

- homiedclown

I hope that's not their mentality. It's so hard to trade contracts that size during the season and get appropriate value back. The idea that Bogo's injury impacts a long term decision like this this is annoying.

Nice signing... assuming report are true

Good chance that both he (& Laaksonen) are still playing in Finland next year though

Are we a better team with ROR though or Hayes/Nelson, Thompson, 1st rounder ?
- Pegullaville

Maybe
Let’s see who we get as the 2C and how much they cost before we start making that judgement
And even then, i guess we gotta wait to see what Tage & the picks turn into
Generally...
I’m a fan of getting the best player in a trade & not all the pieces that may or may not become something- bc they usually don’t ever become as good as the player u lost

But all i was really trying to say was that u gotta stop using “we gained Cap Space” as part of the argument

with 30 mil left

sign them ea on 1 year deals

bills rotate d men anyways

anything to beat the pats
-homiedclown

We aren’t beating the Pats even with all that (not winning the division anyways)

But yeah... on 1 year deals, why not?
Take a swing, see what happens

The report is that he's signing an NHL contract

I just read the blog & it said that reports are “he can return to Finland if not on the Sabres roster”

With his size,
I’d think spending another year in Finland getting stronger would be beneficial

At 21, it would be a 3 year ELC. Doesn't mean he'd have to come over, but it certainly sounds like that's the intent.

I don't care what he did with Tampereen Ilves. He's a bum
- jcragcrumple

Why don't you come with something on your own, your "bum" post every other post is old.

disagree

pats had gronk retire
replaced hogan with an old slow wr with bum leg
lost their tackle

their good wr is a failed drug test from being out for the entire season

load up the front 7, stop the run, and they can beat the pats

Yeah, but we've been saying crap like this for many, many years - and Brady/Belichick still keep winning. I'm afraid we'll never win the division until Brady retires...IF he ever retires.

Would make moving Risto a little easier if that’s what they are going to do. Seeing the strength of these remaining d-corps in the playoffs though it should take an overpayment for us to move Risto I’d hope.
- Pegullaville

would hiring gronborg make it easier?

Gotcha. I guess we'll find out at training camp. With the roster as is, it's hard to imagine he wouldn't make the team

Believe it's solely dictated by age as of 9/15. 21 = 3 years, 22 = 2 years. It's the CBA, could always be a catch somewhere.

Seems like he has the talent,
but is he ready for the NHL?
At his size/age,
he might need more time to get stronger

Fixed
Allen is still a work in progress
Just how far he progresses will determine how our season goes
