Seems like a repeat article

Of course the latest Toronto media hack suggests that
Marner is getting Matthew's money..

Where the yawn emoji?

Marner better than both. Tavares is amazing and Matthews is amazing but Marner will go down as one of the best players of all time.

Wow. That's a Kool Aidy take, even for me. I dig it.

Holy Mackinaw last year Nylandr was one of the best wingers in the league now he's overpaid and should be a cap dump. Well with three $11 mil per year players next season the Leafs will be cap dumping more than just Nylander.

Trading Nylander would be so stupid and bad asset management.

I'm having a diet cheat meal by smashing several Twix bars into a vanilla hagen daaz. Also had steak and onion rings for breakfast.

It was absolutely ridiculous.

It is the judgement calls that are killers especially block vs charge.

Toronto gets no respect from referees... they won’t dare to make those calls or non calls against Warriors etc but no one in Toronto will get benefits of doubt.

It will be the one of the reasons Kawhi will leave... other than extremely thin point guard and the location of his home town, that is.

I wish Nurse have a bit of Tort in him. Just scream about the injustice and pay fine to NBA. Kawhi would appreciate that.

On topic, Leafs started partying way too early. Long before they ever accomplished anything.

If Marner was that good, where was he in the Boston series?

If Dubas pays $11M... Toronto is done. They won’t have enough supporting cast within the cap.

So which fan bases have made total asses of themselves where the Leafs are concerned. So far, I got

Vancouver - albeit the derp hit a peak years ago, since then they have mostly disappeared

Ottawa -

Philadelphia - see, Ottawa. Thanks for the laughs, morons.

Buffalo - I guess 10 games won by 1 goal late in the third, or in OT and Skinner being on an 85 goal pace really masked the fact that you were poop all along

Islanders - Gee, who would have thought a goalie beating the odds for a whole season would make a very average team look better than it is... oh wait, I know, we did.

Montreal - meh, I got nothing. I expect Toronto-Montreal chirping, and the Habs deserved a playoff spot this year.

Marner was with Tavares and the guy playing with a blown-out ACL the last 3 games, covering the best line in hockey. Lots of Leafs to blame. Marner was not one of them.

If Matthews had just 1 assist in the final 4 games, I wonder what people would be saying...

He didn’t finish that series great..

Matthews showed leadership by taking that step this year and being a playoff producer. Marner started strong, but was pretty invisible the last couple games when they needed him most.

I wonder. I think there is a good chance AM will pack up in 5 years. If AM signed for 8 years I would never make that kind of a deal, but it seems AMand Marner will be in short term contract, with one walking at the end.

Would Edmonton consider AM, Nylander and Kap for McDavid?

To be fair, Toronto is hurting more from Zaitsev and Marleau contracts, that’s all thanks to Lou than anything Dubas did at the moment. At the moment that is.

Dubas’ biggest failing was not signing AM to a term. If he’s giving out that kind of money per year, at least he should have gotten him to 7-8 years. 5 years to that kind of cap hit is just absurd.

Maybe yeah...

that’s $20 million dollars to spend on a team that includes Rielly, Tavares, Andersen, Nylander, Sandin (will be good) then Dermott, Muzzin, Hyman, Kadri as good depth players..

Offersheet Rantanen...

Boom, powerhouse..
