By not annoucing it they have allowed non-stop speculation this morning that's he's going to Edmonton. They have also allowed the Keefe idea to grow as they are 6-0 in the playoffs and look terrific.

you do realize the incredible advantage the Marlies (and 2-3 other organizations with (virtually) illimited AHL team budgets) have over other NHL organizations (some of which already have internal salary ceilings for their NHL teams), right?
Basically, it's a disgrace if Marlies don't win 3-4 calder cups every 10 seasons due to the incredible financial advantage the organization has (travel, staff, no salary cap etc.).
It is really not that difficult to win the Calder Cup for Toronto Maple Leafs AHL team.

Funny how no other coach has ever won a Calder cup in Toronto than Keefe despite that advantage.

Babcock had a guy with a torn ACL taking face-offs in a decisive game against Bergeron. He played Matthews 18 minutes in a game 7. He's lost it.
