Looking at the make up of the coaching staff and the GM for that matter you have 4 guys that have been fired recently because they couldn't quite climb to the summit...they are going to be just as hungry as the players (if not more so) and with the youth the Flyers have this may just make for a very fun ride to watch.

There are sure to be some fire works in the coaching staff as they work to build a system, but that could play into their advantage because each guy will have his own perspective to bring to the table...I am just so glad to have experience behind the bench vice have no playoff series win experience since Lavi was the coach.

Each of these coaches have had some success, lets see how they work together to put things in place for the team to succeed...

And Lappy must really have Teflon in his blood...

Good question. Not sure I had a better choice than AV. The dust hasn't settled from post playoff firings yet so don't know who may have popped up with. If Fletch had AV in his sites then good for him for going and getting him. I'm not unhappy with the two new guys. Lappy dodges the bullet again. Ok with Dillabaugh sticking. Seems well respected. Going to be fun to watch.

No issue with AV, get the need for wanting an experienced HC.

No idea how Lappy keeps surviving. Strong doubts with Therien’s rah rah approach that I feel is outdated in today’s game, and on a team with many young players.

Yeo might be a decent assistant but he’s poop as an HC.

I’d have had zero issues with them chasing an “inexperienced” guy for the assistant role with AV already on board. Names? Only ones I could throw out would have been the often mentioned Keefe, or Groulx - guys who very well may not want to come anyway.

When the day comes that Av is fired. The internal candidates to replace are Lappy, Gordon, Yeo and Therien. That’s (frank)ing hilarious.

Just seems they doubled down on “get all the experienced guys”.

If you think I am nuts, this news was real life from 2006, I guess Therien has changed since then ... this is the problem with sharing real world stuff while trying not to identify sources and getting people fired, even though its old...
