Nobody wants to play in Canada except Tavares and he looks like a dummy anyways.

Quinn Hughes didn't exactly look thrilled when the Canucks selected him. - boonerbuck
Same as McCann, Quinne thought he would go 4th. Dropping to seven, and having home town Detroit pass on you has got to burn. |

They weren’t the team’s best players... |

Pearson is on his third team this season.... I wouldn’t read too much into “character”. Cannsey was disappointed that he fell in the draft, it wasn’t the Canucks, it was dropping almost to the second round. I would feel much better about the future if he had been sent back to junior, and was one of the young C’s pushing guys like Sutter down the depth chart now. - 1970vintage
Pearson is 26 and was having a bad season, not a character problem with him. I feel the same about allowing prospects to develop more before throwing them into the line up and putting huge expectations on them on an already bad/declining team. |

I think it’s a bit prejudiced of you to assume that McCann has an attitude “problem” because he’s young and on his third team but Pearson is a good team guy just having a bad year because he’s old and on his third team (in the same season). Remember, Florida traded Reilly Smith plus so Vegas would draft Marchesault instead of whoever they wanted to keep... |

Don't remember exactly but was there a few Canucks that came out and said him and Jake had attitude problems?
Maybe it was Markstrom or someone that said it? |

I don't recall any specific names being used, just a comment about some of the young players, having to adjust their attitudes.
We all assume it was those 2 though. |

I believe he admitted later that he (McCann) didn’t handle the sudden success well, and that the trade was humbling and he learned from it. |

It was not-so-cryptically implied by the Sedins after many poopty games.... |

I said current character. People (well not everyone) do grow up sooner or later. |

No, it was Jake and Jared. There is no illusion. The Sedins called them out many times that year... |

If it came from the Sedin's, it would have been someone who said something like "I am going to nail that (frank)er" so it was probably Jake and Pedan, the rest of those you mention are pansies. |

Nope, it was the head scout of the 2014 draft. I don't know who that was. |

I have heard a few people hinting Babcock to Edmonton in the last two days.

Dubas puts an end to Babcock speculation
Frank Seravalli of TSN: There was some speculation about the potential of Mike Babcock joining Ken Holland in Edmonton.
Toronto Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas put an end to that yesterday.
“We’re all in on Mike and Mike is all in on us,” Dubas told TSN’s Bob McKenzie. “We’ve had productive management meetings as an organization and Mike and I have had some really good meetings as well since the season ended. It’s our very strong belief that Mike is the one to lead us. |
