This is just bizarre. Bath salts going around Belleville? - TheMussel
No, not all of Belleville, just one specific basement apartment |

Teemu Kivihalme to replace Gardiner - Symba.007
Rielly
Muzzin
Dermott
Leafs left side is set.
It's the other side that's the problem.
Just Zaitsev, as the lone right ranger, on the 2nd pairing. |

Zaitsev is Jesus whereas not 4 months ago he was Judas. I'd pump the breaks on him. |

Probably pretty scary to play against honestly.
Gardiner passes, Weber does everything else.
I dunno, seems good to me. |

I can see it already.
Gardiner standing still at the blueline, receiving a pass and then lobbing it into the opposite corner while nonchalantly putting his weight on his back foot and trying to avoid a check, Weber yelling at him to move it.
Goes back to the bench, checks his tape job. Alls well at the Bell Centre. |

No indication that the pass Gardiner made even went to a Habs player..

I think the first question is "What are you going to do with the 56 million dollars you'll be earning over the next 7 years as a Montreal Canadien?"
(other than funding the language police) |

I would love it just to see all the Habs fans say it’s a good signing after saying Gardiner sucks all these years. |

he's a high risk offensive D, not that great in his zone but a decent passer that plays the PP. I highly doubt he will be worth the salary he will get but who knows...he might find in Weber the quality RHD he needs. |

It’s not often you get a FA on a good contract.
It’s free talent.
He’s a top 4 D if the Leafs had the space I would sign him 5-6 mil |

Two D targets for me are Spurgeon and Larsson.
And I wouldn’t mind using Kadri as the bait.

Gardiner gets a lot of hate, most of it unwarranted.
He's been a leader in completed stretch passes.
And he's never had a RHD partner like Weber.
If the Habs signed him, he'd probably improve their team. Just like he'd improve the Leafs if they could fit him under the cap. |

I still think a Rielly/Gardiner pairing should of been tried out.
I know it wasn’t an option in playoffs due to his back but every time those two play together they get results.
I’m hoping they get Muzzin a good partner this offseason so they can use that pairing for shutdown mins then give Rielly tons of offensive zone starts and secondary comp. |
