BabRichard staying on.
I guess we'll see another 1st round exit in 2020, or maybe they will spare us the misery and miss the playoffs. - Aetherial

Too bad Mcavoy's suspension won't help Columbus.
Also too bad for Boston. The fact that they get away with more poop than every other team combined will again overshadow the fact that they are a damn good team.

Due to the cap issues I think you will see a lineup something like as follows:
Centers: Taveres-Matthews-Kadri-Goat
Right wing: Marner-Bracco (Marner light?)-Nylander-Moore-Mysh???
Left wing: Hyman-Korshkov-Marchment-Kapanen-Petran
Left D: Reilly-Muzzin-Sandin-Borgman
Right D:Dermott-Zaitsev-Holl-Rosen
Goal: Anderson
Backup: Sparks or Kash? (Marlie guy)
This leaves Marleau, Brown, and Johnsson as assets to either get a guy like Pesce or Miller. Of course moving Nylander and/or Zaitsev throws a new dynamic into this. Personally I love Brown, Marleau and Johnsson but they cost to much. Last year I thought Kadri, Brown and Hyman should have played together to form a real ugly third line.
If I recall correctly Horton's salary wasn't covered by insurance so that may be hard to move but with the right assets it can be.
I would not be real surprised to see Oilers and Leafs work out something so Babcock leaves and Keefe comes in to coach but I am alright with Babcock staying.

Seems like the obvious choice to move to upgrade the D. Great contract and could be a 2nd C on many teams.
Kadri's penchant for getting himself ejected from playoff series for stupid, selfish hits leaves a very, very bad taste in my mouth. |

Aside from the obvious jokes about the bad taste in your mouth . . .
I can't see them moving Kadri. He's an affordable 3C, and while he has been stupid for 2 straight years, you have to take the chance that he returns to form from 2017. THAT Kadri makes your team 3 lines deep and a constant threat. This year's Kadri seemed lost half the time.
If they move Kadri, who's the 3C that doesn't weaken us? By that, I mean moving Nylander to 3C does weaken us, in my opinion. |

Of all the reasons to fire Torts, getting eliminated from the playoffs isn't one of them.
The league is so much better when he's giving interviews, though. |

Can’t be as awful as the leaf anthem singer. I take ear plugs to games. |

The Leafs might have the only anthem singer in the league that can actually sing. I don't like her little thing at the end of the song but she's still got pipes. |

Yeah I like her singing. I don’t even mind the little thing she does. Anything that adds some life to our anthem is fine with me. |

Babcock did not think it was a big deal. It's a learning experience he says after every first round loss. They are now experts. |

Nylander is so underrated right now if you think he's untradeable. LOL. "Budget" teams will line-up for him after that July 1st bonus. |

Not just the budget teams, either. There's plenty of GMs out there that know he'll have a bounce-back season. |
