Listen, when you have it a lot, you'll turn it over a lot. Agreed, he needs to turn it over less, and he needs to not turn it over in certain places on the ice. But that trade is not a loss, IMO.

I agree. I just think that on the nights where he doesn't show up, he should at least not be a liability for the team. I can deal with him being inconsistent, but if he can reduce the amount of mistakes, that'd be great.

Or a winger that gives the puck up like it is Christmas and Halloween rolled up together... who manages to get people to love him even though he shows up at best 1 out of 3 games.

Absolutely agree that he needs to be more responsible, and when not contributing, can't be a negative too.

1. Halloween isn't a holiday where people give gifts. I get that candy is "given away", but it's not the same. Therefore, this attempt at additional humor is declined.
2. I don't love him yet. I like what he brings, and I am hoping there is still room for maturity to set in, and he will show up 2/3 games.
3. This doesn't make the trade bad, even if I take your post at face value.
4. You hate the Habs anyhow.

No.

1) Christmas is a holiday where gifts are exchanged, seems more appropriate that Drouin is associated with a holiday where things are given away without expected reciprocity.

2) I like what he brings once every 3-4 games too. He is a waste of ice time those other 2-3 games, and CJ should have sent his ass to the press box for a few games at the end of the season. Without consistency (and I don't mean scoring every game, I mean playing hard, proper defensive coverage, stop floating all over the ice), he will never be more than a 3rd line player at best. Maybe with his nose fixed, they pulled it out of his ass, and he will be a better player moving forward. I'm not very hopeful.

3) The trade was not great, or even a clear success, even if I take your post at face value.

4) I hate certain players on this team and the direction of the team (trading for older players, giving away picks and prospects) that only seemed to change last year, not the team as a whole.

We are saying the same thing about Drouin. You're just being negative (Mashadar) about it, and I am taking a positive POV. All good.
