4 years @ 3.5 a year to bring Benn back? No thanks!

Yeah, I am not sure where the direction is next year.

Unless a big deal comes down the line, I do not expect much change / turnover in the roster for next year. Seems to be the case based on the players already signed.

I would not be surprised if all the kids, Poeling, Suzuki, Brook, Romanov (if he comes over) etc... etc.. are all in Laval for most of the year.

I can see the Habs signing Benn, but not for 4 years. And I hope for less than that, even if there are really no cap issues on the team right now.

With Weber, Petry, Juulsen & Folin, is there even room for Benn?

Drouin, Weber, Shaw stands out for me. Waiting too long on Tinordi.

Not a lot of good moves there before last summer outside Petry and Danault. A lot of plugs and depth moves.

Weber is way more useful to the habs than Pk...

Shaw showed us this year he can play hockey when healthy and when avoiding brain cramps...

Seems like a good time to trade Shaw, not sure he has ever been worth more after last season. If they want to start moving youth into the lineup, they will eventually need to get rid of some of the vets...

And Shaw seems to score everytime they play the Leafs, that's got to be worth something

If that's the case, then he should be quite explosive when he makes the team.

If the offer is really good I'd consider it but I wouldn't be pushing him out the door

In the "can't have too many D" world that MB believes in, I think thye might just do that. Benn is a slightly above average 3rd paid D in the league, but he is a below average 2nd pair D. And to your point, we have too many 3rd paid D.

I think it is 50/50 he comes back, tbh.

I think they'd probably wait to see if there's another option on RW before trading Shaw.

3 more years at $3.9M... I'd consider a 2nd and a b level prospect good enough. He is 1 hit away from drinking out of a straw and drooling for the rest of his life.

In fairness, he was like that from birth. So he knows not other way.
