Let's begin the hockey discussion!

Would you sign Jordan Eberle for a 5 years, 25M contract on july 1st?

- Scabeh

I would... I'd prefer 4 years but yea

He's also a RW, which I believe is our weakest position at forward.

Lineup WITH Eberle could look like this:

Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Domi-KK-Eberle
Drouin-Poehling-Shaw
Lehkonen-Thompson-Armia
Weal

It's not a bad looking lineup.

Of course there's risk involved with his bad season last year but.... it could also turn into quite the reward if he goes back to his "normal" production.

- Scabeh

Any lineup that has Danault on the 1st line is not a good one

I just don't see Claude breaking up the Danault line to begin the year.

And if Poehling plays a top 3 centre role on the team, you move Domi on the LW.... most likely ahead of Drouin to begin with.....

Who knows.

And they finished out of the playoffs

Danault failed to record a goal in 74 games this season, good thing Gallagher and Tatar were filing the net to pump up his assist total!

I'm not gonna argue that Danault shouldn't be a team's best centre.

But I think you're not giving the guy enough credit.

12 goals 53 points with absolutely no powerplay time is nothing to sneeze at.

We'll know during camp.

If they're better than the guys we currently have, they'll play in the NHL.

Just like KK last year.

I don't see them putting Domi back on the wing after last season. Doesn't make sense to me.

Also, I'm not sold on Eberle. Can he bounces back? Maybe, but it would be 5 long years if he doesn't.

Average-sized puck-moving defender with upside to be a number four defenseman. Loves to join the rush and play the cycle game in the offensive zone. Smooth skater. Needs to improve his defensive game. The sound of his strides is amazing.
