Neither is relevant to the fact that the sabres do need more two way talent. If they had it, Mittelstadts defensively brain damaged second line wouldn't have gotten record high o-zone usage and offset by the 3rd and 4th line playing all the defensive minutes.

I'm a big Tkachuk fan. I have no idea how the topic became these two. Find me that type of skillset, in a lesser version, for Eichel's RW and I'd be thrilled.

Yeah I would too mainly because one is 21 years old.

Unfortunately Skinner spent the better part of 12 games on lines with Evan Rodrigues, Casey Mittelstadt and Kyle Okposo otherwise I feel these point discrepancies would be a lot closer

Tkachuk might of scored 40 with Gaudreau and Monahan too. If Skinner is an elite top 5 winger he should be able to not only score, but set up his temamates and enhance their point totals as well with eichel or not. To me Skinner is an elite goal scorer but his playmaking and defensive game doesn’t do it for me. I would rather have a 25-30 goal winger who plays all three zones and is just as good a setup man as a scorer. Spending money on Centres and defense goes further then on the wing. Pick one of Skinner or Reinhart because likely one of them are gone in a few years to pay for a 2C and defence.

They both had huge sh% spikes. Both are candidates to drop a little.

Difference is one is dropping from 40 with a lower sh%. The other had a higher less like to sustain % with just 34.

I listed 8 wingers including the 8 OKOC already had listed that were better wingers then skinner then it started a huge debate that really doesn’t explain how Skinner still only manages 23 assists and is 86th in PPG in the NHL.

How many Skinner passes or assists can you recollect off the top of your head ? One maybe two ? Most of his primary assists id wager were shots that rebounded to someone else. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with that, but he doesn’t really dominate possession in the offensive zone or set up many offensive chances for his linemates, he gets the puck in the zone and the only thing on his mind is shooting even if it is a low percentage shot.

He's also the best diver in the NHL. Need a way to measure that!
