How many Skinner passes or assists can you recollect off the top of your head ? One maybe two ? Most of his primary assists id wager were shots that rebounded to someone else. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with that, but he doesn’t really dominate possession in the offensive zone or set up many offensive chances for his linemates, he gets the puck in the zone and the only thing on his mind is shooting even if it is a low percentage shot. - Pegullaville
Guess I just think of playmaking and setting up two different things. Individually generating opportunities is a pretty special skill. Eichel has it. Skinner has. Dahlin has it.
rank the top 30 centers, he is middle of the pack - homiedclown
Top 5 player in the NHL at some exits and entries, top 5 in SOG, top 10 in assists. Top 20 in PPG in the league with nobody else within the top 80. He is a top 10 Centre in the league who would be top 5 if we had an effective PP and not having to raise the play of others who we boast about on this site on a regular basis.
ROR really shot out of a cannon the first few months of the season before settling back down towards his Sabres production after the beginning of February. Good PP production and Tarasenko and Schenn proved to combine to make quite the line.
I see him back to the 28-32 goal guy with a % in the 14.5 range.
Law of averages. He wasn’t as good of a goal scorer when he was 3rd in the league and he’s not as bad of a goal scorer when he went snake bitten 1 for seemingly all of 2019. - dadeadhead
He shot 14.9% this year!!!
That drop of .4% that u see would result in 1 less goal... so 39goals
If the Sharks win tomorrow night, we’ll either be picking 30th or 31st in the first round. Frank the Stars. - Pegullaville
I’ll take it a step further
If SJ wins tomorrow night...
it’s our 2 “cancers” going up against each other to go to the Cup
And it’s not like anyone wants to cheer for the stupid Canes or f#cking Bruins
This could be a nightmare final4 for a lot of Sabres fans
Well that pick for O'Reilly is absolute garbo. Strange how bad that trade looks.... - Mentalorgasm5
Best case scenario now is that San Jose represents the West in the final and the Blues pick goes to the Ducks in the Montour trade. So then it would be ROR and Guhle for Montour and Thompson.

Ugh

It's pathetic to me that people will use this to criticize the trade. Regardless of how these picks play out, the RoR trade will always be tied to the Skinner and Montour trades. There's really no need for people to squirm and strain to pretend otherwise.
