Corsica and evolving hockey have them at 46 and 29
I assume you used hockey reference? Id be curious to know what the discrepancy is. - Sabresfan-365
I'm guessing one of you used 5v5 and the other all even strength situations? |

A viable way to get either Tkachuk would be more fun. They both bring exactly what Eichel needs in a linemate. - Lunaion

It's pathetic to me that people will use this to criticize the trade. Regardless of how these picks play out, the RoR trade will always be tied to the Skinner and Montour trades. There's really no need for people to squirm and strain to pretend otherwise. - Lunaion
It was a bad trade since the second it was made
Skinner could’ve fit in the short term, & the long
The Montour trade could’ve still been made with the 1st from trading Kane |

Thank you Terry Pegula, from all St Louis fans, for hiring a rookie GM who gave us a top line center who is helping us possibly winning the cup this year. I mean what GM would get in return a late first round pick, 2 salary dump players and a prospect who looks like a 4th line player at best? Thank you from all of us!!!! Do Sabre fans like having crappy teams every year? - pwasil7
You don’t have to rub it in
And you’re only halfway to winning a Cup
Lots of hockey left
Try not to be such a douche next time though |

It’s funny you say that cause I’ve been watching the same playoff games and Bozak has had more of a role in their playoff success. Did you stop by the Leafs blog as well ? |

Three things:
RoR didn't want to be here
His production was never near as good here as it was this season (it's like playing with good players help)
I'm not sure the montour trade and Skinner deal both happen. A) Skinner did involve a second this year B) the montour trade involved one of the firsts. I think most agreed those deals are/were both worth it on paper. We were out of the playoffs around the deadline (montour deal). You think Botts goes into the draft with our first, and our third/fourth as his top two picks (Sheary). I don't. We'd still have RoR, Skinner sure, but the montour deal prolly doesn't happen without the extra first |

Member when he was here and he was in turn given away for basically nothing.
I didn’t hate the trade at first, but it is turning out to be one of the worst in Sabres history.
I was one who wanted him moved.
Two cap dumps, one a guy who quit. A late 1st rd pick and a B/C level prospect.
The Sabres better hope they hit home runs with Tage and that first round pick. |

I'm willing to give it more than a year. I'll say it here too: He didn't want to be here and his production never came close here as this year. Perhaps our former rookie coach is to blame? |

In terms of getting value for ROR, absolutely not.
It just shows how bad the trade actually was/is. |

Also wouldn’t be picking 7th either. I think that is a big deal because that is potentially a big piece of the puzzle moving forward here |

Because every prospect is the same as before right. I mean, if your argument is we got screwed in the actual trade, fine. But let's not forget that RoR helped pilot a team to 31st as well |

That's false. You can say getting a cap dump is bad. Having one quit is always good. That's why they're called.. CAP DUMPS. Otherwise, they'd just be players in the trade. |

This is great, you’re team just won in double ot and you’re first reaction is to come here. If you only had, “they all laughed at me before” added in it would be a polished gem. |

For the Sabres yes, all teams hope bad players with awful contracts just quit. Berglund was supposed to be Center/Wing depth.
It again shows just how lopsided the trade is. Like you said just players in a trade.
ROR - 70+ points. 1st line center.
For
Berglund - 4 points. Everyone glad he quit
Sobodka - 13 points. Everyone wishes he would quit.
Thompson - 12 points. Reminds me of Hudson Fasching.
29-31 pick.
Not very good value at all. |

If Skinner walks, just tear it down.
Oh wait, they can’t. After 8 years They only have two players really worth anything.
Fantastic. |

And in 2 years when Dahlin is in his prime and ROR’s career is winding down I pray people shut the (frank) up about it finally.
Good god these guys were part of the WORST TEAM IN FRANCHISE HISTORY |

Also a second in 21 I believe. But what're describing is every good player for futures trade ever. I agree it looks bad now, and may never flip too good. I just hope we get a rasmus sundin type prospect with the pick. This draft as well as 20 will define our team for the 20s into the early 30s imo |

Rasmus Sandin was picked by the Leafs 29th last year.
He’s expected to be in the Leafs top 4 next year after absolutely crushing it in the AHL.
But nothing like that could possibly happen to us |
