According to HockeyNews.se, the forward declined to bid from Toronto and Arizona to choose Chicago Blackhawks next season.

He looks like AHL material to me. Between him, Carlsson, Nilsson and Soderlund, the Hawks will have a nice Swedish backup for Colliton if he wants to draw from.

Just guessing here, but if the Yotes and Leafs were looking at him too I’d imagine he’d have to have something in his contract to make it worth coming over here.
