It’s how I’m breaking it down, Andersson for Puljujarvi, the 8th for the 19th Nam and Vesey - nyrangers9479
It makes no sense for Edmonton. For $7.17M in cap space they could probably sign two average NHL players and keep Puljujarvi and the 8th overall pick |

Does that really make them better? Move up 11 spots and lose one of your best players? I don’t like it. |

Maybe. Maybe not. Was just giving an example of a realistic trade that would get us EDMs pick. |

From a Rangers stand point I would never do it. It’s essentially Seider and Kreider for Boldy (just an example of players in that range. To me, not worth it.
What about FLA as a trade partner? Georgie+ 20th for 13th? |

Everyone that’s close to the oilers (writers, broadcasters, etc) all say they need bottom 6 players...we got a whole bunch of those! They neeeeeed to get this 8 pick from them!
If you think about it, there is so much pressure to make the playoffs up there that they should be willing to trade that pick instead of waiting for 3 years for someone to step in. And they really have nothing of value to trade other then that pick - Slimtj100
They need guys that can play with McDavid and Draisatl. They’re a 1 line team. I could absolutely see them trading picks and some younger guys for vets/NHL ready guys. |

I think we should do whatever it takes to get into the top 10 with that 2nd pick and grab Podkolzin if he drops. Andersson and 20 get us to BUF at 7?
Kakko Kravtsov Podkolzin for the next 10 years on the wing would be fun to watch.
2 years from now we could have a top 6 that looks like this:
Panarin Zib Kravtsov
Kakko Chytil Podkolzin

Georgie has more value than that
should talk to Detroit about what it would take to get 6th pick, he makes sense for them
Georgie could easily be their number 1 next year, they still have some cap concerns and he makes 792K next season |

I really have no idea who the Rangers would target if they traded up
it's a debate I see on twitter
I see people in love with Zegras, in love with Caufield, Byram, Cozens
I'd be happy with any of them, the only guys I really dont want are the European defensemen (like Broberg, Soderstrom, Seider)
I'll live if they stay at 20 and grab one of those guys, but please dont trade up for one |

Think Stevie Y has had enough of trading with the NYR. |

I suppose it is his fault he signed Miller and Cally to those contracts. You're right, trade-wise he's done well. |

I'm kind of with you. The only guy I would trade up for is Caulfield and I think there is no way he goes past like 8 or 9 now. There is literally no shot we can trade up that high with not having the Dallas 1st. |

I can't say Georgie has a ton of value. I could be wrong, but I always use Talbot as kind of a gauge of what his trade value would be. Even if we give Talbot the value of when we first refused the 1st (and subsequently got screwed when we did trade him), Cam had better numbers here than Georgie. I just don't see Georgie fetching this king's ransom. |

farms are just so random. If you have the will to do it, you can be very successful. My dad knew a guy who was as dumb as rocks, and that may be an insult to rocks. However, the guy was a millionaire because he worked hard on his farms and had the right hustles (for instance he'd spray the whole town's fields, yes he owned a plane too).
Even if I could do the work, the just random stuff like natural disasters (drought included), bugs, and any other annoyances would just drive me up a wall - 2sticks1puck

Georgie's career is just beginning though and Talbot was approaching UFA when that trade happened, and he really wasn't that young either
I think the fact that Georgie could legit be somebody's #1 next season and he's only got a 792k cap hit is very valuable commodity |

Detroit #RedWings have resigned Dylan McIlrath to a 2 year / 2-way contract extension. Both seasons breakdown the same way.
NHL: $700,000
Minor: $275,000
Guaranteed: $325,000 |

At least he's still playing somewhere. I really wanted him to figure it out at the NHL level. |

I'm being absolutely honest: when's the last time a goalie got a haul? Even Patrick didn't get an epic return. Dwayne Roloson was considered almost an elite goalie at the time (although he was older) only got a 1st and a conditional 3rd. I'm not saying Georgie has no trade value, but to say that people will pay this gigantic ransom for him is just wishful thinking. Especially considering the underlying metrics have suggested that it's possible Hank was better (yes I don't really believe that). |

Do I think he would get a haul, no, but I would say he is definitely at the minimum worth a 1st +. He's 23, cost controlled and was really good in front of one of the worst defenses |

yeah, I actually tend to agree overall that goalies don't have the best trade value
what they ultimately do here with Lundqvist, Shesty and Georgiev is one of most fascinating decisions to be made this off season
my personal preference is if Lundqvist could ride off in the sunset and Shesty/Georgiev becomes the Russian version of Beezer/Richter circa 1991-92
