you know it's like we've been waiting for years for this fabled Russian goalie with the microscopic GAA to finally come over, it was almost like a fairy tale that would never happen
it's happened! he's gotta play - jimbro83

You are right in saying this could be a disaster. Just remember though, Hank now is way better than Weekes or Montoya was. Hank was played right away because you really couldn't justify holding him back over Kevin flippin weekes. There's an interesting comparison in valuing Montoya vs Georgie.
This could play out much worse because the reasons you listed above. I wasn't around then, but this could blow up into Eddie vs John D level bad. Even people like me who think it's time for Hank to go and have felt that way for awhile have Hank jerseys sitting in my closet. The only way it doesn't is if somehow Hank retired and I think with his level of compete, there is a 0% chance of that happening. - 2sticks1puck
I meant to say this earlier but I had a senior moment.
Weekes and Montoya were basically hot garbage. |

I want Hank to stop playing, but not leave the org. Best case scenario is that he becomes the team's stylist. If he doesn't take that offer, they need to figure out a way to part ways with each other. |

Oof, Yes it is. I'll go kill myself now.
Just early morning brain fog. (I know it's almost 10)
I have seen some of that, I have Netflix so I will prob start watching it. - JRR1285
Is Parks and Rec on Netflix for you guys???
Jealous. It's not on Canadian Netflix. We have it on Crave (which I don't have...)
LOVE Parks and Rec.
Season 1 was decent, after that it was fantastic. |

in 2005 he wasn't though and you could make the argument that Lundqvist's elite play immediately blocked him from developing and stunted his career
and ultimately led to him being traded for crap
I don't think it's true that too many good goalies is a good problem to have
of course it worked out, Lundqvist is a Hall of Famer and arguably best Ranger to ever live |

I don't get how any adult can be into wrestling. I put it on for like 5 minutes with my GF a few months ago when we were flipping through channels and I just couldn't figure out how they sell out arena after arena of actual (mostly)functioning adults, I just can't wrap my head around it. - Harambe
As a wrestling fan who watches on TV, it's not really any different than the people going over the top for Game of Thrones or Star Wars etc. It's just fun. As long as people know it's scripted. The people that take wrestling way too personally when they don't like the storyline or who wins and loses, I got nothing for. |

Fair enough, it's just something that I don't get. No judgement, but it just doesn't register in my brain. I liked it when I was a kid though. |

I don't really watch it weekly but will tune in for big events like Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble
Still can be entertaining |

Yeah, I can understand that. It's the same with regards to how some super popular shows can be love it or hate it for many people. Example, I absolutely (frank)ing hate the Big Bang Theory. Very popular show. I think it's trash. |

It is, but that's the fun. There are two levels of wrestling fans. I only really watch WWE and it's something that wouldn't stop me from doing something else if I had plans. Everyone knows I watch the Rumble because it's my favorite PPV, but I left my friend's house after like 3 hours of wrestlemania it's gotten way too long.
I can't associate with the other type of fans that like lives and breathes it. They watch all the shows from everyone and say WWE is worse than all of them, yet continue to go to all the live events. I laugh at them the same people I laugh at the people who camp in front of the movie theaters and watch the movie that just came out 5 times. |

It changed a lot for my liking. Back when the Rock and or Steve Austin got the mic it truly was can’t miss tv. Or the NWO spray painting and bullying people. The storylines they had were great. Now it has no good personalities, kinda lame. I don’t watch anymore |

Yeah that's about the last stuff I remember watching as a kid, I don't really recall how old I was when I stopped watching but I know that I loved Stone Cold |

The Rock and Austin were probably some of the best personalities on wrestling since the glory days of Hogan, Macho Man, Snooka, etc |

I remember when I was a little kid I used to play around at my grandparents house and take two sodas out of the cooler and smash them together and pour them in my mouth like Stone Cold slamming beers
My parents must have been both mortified and pissed off that I was just wasting soda like it was no one's business |

You can tell they are struggling on that front. Here's a list of people who have somehow held the belt THIS decade. Most within the past couple years
Goldberg
the Rock
Brock Lesnar
Triple H
Even though he's generally a wiener IMO, they screwed the pooch letting CM Punk go. Guy could lap the field in charisma.
