There is no doubt the Devils are picking Hughes, right?

I think we gotta be careful with that. Heβs played 30 something games?
No way in hell he gets 26 by himself |

I mean, they could very well pick Spencer Knight with that pick who has played zero NHL games |

I agree. Just wondering whether there has been even a little scuttlebutt on that front.

He'd be the best center we've had since Nylander. He might also be better than Nylander. |

I would entertain that but CBJ won't. You take away one of their best players for a goalie that is past prime. They are probably losing Panarin too so trading Anderson is pretty unlikely. - JRR1285
Not only Panarin, but possibly Duchene as well. Those two somehow stay in Columbus and Bob leaves, except for the obvious cap hit, that could be a fit for Hank. On the other hand, the influx of young talent and Panarin likely sends us to the playoffs, might rejuvenate Hank. |

Zib might be better than Nylander. Nylander's best statistical season was with the Rangers. The rest of his career is very solid but doesn't look elite.
I am worried about his frame. Kakko has me a lot less worried there. |
