Kakko named Finland player of game after two goals (one empty netter) in 3-1 victory over Canada. Boy, he will look good next to Hischier.

I know...stupid clauses...but that leaves 20 other teams to work with
If they can't be traded, which I would find difficult to believe, then you have to buy them out. With the expansion draft coming in a year, I think they would have to be protected because of those clauses. |

WTF is wrong with him? Maybe he thinks some reverse psychology poop will land Hughes here? |

I still think Smith to Toronto 50% retained is the play.
THough (and not buying him out), Smith straight up for Marleau would be a curious trade. He might actually be an answer to our 2C needs. It would be a win win for both teams. Helps Toronto with their cap, and since Marleau is only signed for 1 year would be a boon to us. If he's good, i bet you could resign him for 2-3 years at half the current AAV.

You never know, but seriously believe the Devs take Hughes. They will need a #2 center due to Hall most likely leaving as a UFA after next season (or shipped out at the trade deadline). |

Patrick Marleau spent a good chunk of the time on the Leafs 4th line this year. He had 37 points this year. |

That's gotta be easy right. Brooks is an insta kill. If you are going to have a side piece, always choose the hot one, so Zib it is. Everyone should marry you in this scenario and if someone disagrees, I want to see drawn out reasoning |

Smith doesn't have to be protected
Shattenkirk is weird, we may need a ruling on that
he has a NMC, but he contract technically ends July 1st 2021
if the expansion draft is held, say June 22, 2021, not sure how it works |

I like you when we can talk rationally about things mixed in with humor and sarcasm.
I'd bang Zib cause his frosted tips from behind could be a chick. Brooks is dead. I'm not marrying anyone |

Yeah I know, but I don't think he's getting a contract for more than a couple million anyway after next season. The cap recapture wouldn't be a huge issue I think. [/img] |
