He is signed to a contract almost identical to Brendan Smiths for the next 2 seasons. We look like great trading partners with the Blue Jackets. They need a goalie and badly need to replenish draft picks ---- both things we have in current excess.

A deal around Georgie, Smith and/or Pionk plus multiple draft picks would seem to be a win/win for both teams.

If JD takes over, the lines of communication between two front offices is gonna be pretty strong, even though they are division rivals

I’m done with Hayes, he doesn’t have that extra gear that u need for the playoffs. He has 4 goals in 40 playoff games.

at this point I dont even think he has a place to play if it's not with the Devils or Rangers, but I do believe some OHL team does own his rights
