Vesey and Georgie for Anderson

Kreider Zib Buch
Panarin Chytil Kravtsov
Kakko Strome Anderson
Lemeuix Howden Fast/Nam

That’s a deep 4 lines

I kinda like that but what about the expensive tire fire on D?

Right now we have

Skjei ADA
Staal Fox
Lindgren/Hajek Shattenkirk

I think BOS could be a trading partner for Shattenkirk if we retained 2 million, they were in on him when he was an UFA. We still need a top pair guy on the right side, I think we have enough picks to possibly land one. I know not everyone on here is in love with Trouba but he’s the guy I’d go with, then just bump ADA to the 2nd pair, Fox to the 3rd but give him the PP time.

I would be fine with trading Skjei also, and I don’t think the D is as bad as we’ve been seeing, I think Ruff is much more the problem. Look at a guy like Leddy, -42 under Doug Weight, this year under Trotz he was even at +/-.

Why would columbus trade a 27g scorer who is under a ridiculously low contract and plays the game extremely hard.

Would you trade Kreider for a 3rd liner and backup if he scored 27 goals and his cap hit was under 2 mill?

After Boston watching Shat for the last few years I don't see them clamoring to trade for him even with salary retained. Also fine with trading Skjei, and would do that deal.
Ruff needs to be vaporized immediately.

It depends how you view Georgie. I think he’s a starter but I know it’s a small sample. Vesey is a 3rd liner but can move up to the 2nd if needed.

Just kidding. No way I'd make that trade.

He's played well for us under Allaire. I do think he could be a starter. Vesey is more of an enigma, he'd better show up consistently next year or I'm more done with him than I am now.

Would you trade Anderson for that if you ran Columbus? I just think if you wanted to pry Anderson away from Columbus you would have to make a ridiculous over payment.

I mean his cap hit is like 1.8 next year and he is still an rfa after that.

Georgie I don't think would get much in a player for player trade. Might be able to pry a good pick from someone though. imo

I didn't look at Anderson's contract status, more along the lines of Bob leaving and Georgie being a potential starter for them.
As usual, that trade proposal makes no sense.
Back to the Trouba trades.

I'd love to get Anderson but I'm pretty sure Columbus is keeping their 3rd leading goal scorer who is 25, a leader on the ice with the way he plays, and is signed for peanuts. Never mind the fact that if Panarin walks, they aren't getting rid of any of their top forwards.

Anderson played really well for them in the playoffs, they would be crazy to get rid of him. Panarin and possibly Duchene leave, that's a huge hole to fill. They will be buyers July 1st. Quick look at the UFA goalies I think most will sign with their respective clubs, leaving a few holes.Does Bob hate Torts that much as to leave with all the progress they made this year?

Eh it’s more boredom talking about what I’d like knowing 95% of it will never happen. Just boring until the draft.

The 1 thing that I think is possible and that we should absolutely do is trade the 20th pick into the top 10. Getting Kakko and one of Podkolzin/Zegras/Dach etc would be huge. I think somewhere in the 6-9 range is possible but doubt Van would trade back being that their hosting the draft.

I heard CBJ will be in on Lehner. Makes sense because Isles won’t give him a bunch of years, they have the other Russian goalie coming

If the devils take Kakko, trade up for Caufield...if they take Hughes trade up for Zegras. That would be my plan. Podkolzin scares me (staying in Russia threat) and after Kakko and Panarin, I can’t see them looking at another winger there. BPA or not, they still need to keep adding centers imo. Never can have enough of them

Still picking Edmonton as the trade up partner. It’s solid match, with or without Kreider involved.

Caufield scares me, might be a product of Hughes, but regardless the kid can shoot the puck. I worry about him away from Hughes and his size.

20, 48, N Lundkvist to BUF for 7 and draft Zegras

Well that’s what I’m saying, if your trading up for Caufield we’ve already drafted Hughes.

I wonder if the Rangers would part with Skjei, buffalo could afford him. They’ve gotta start making the playoffs like Edmonton. I don’t think they’d want prospects. Sjkei and 20 for 7 and maybe another piece for us

I want the Logan Couture of this draft badly. That is one helluva player right there
