I'm starting to think that the NHL wants a San Jose vs Boston finals. |

Challenge for offside!
This goal was probably as offside as the Colorado goal! |

Dude, anyone with a brain can see that those two teams have very much been on the receiving end of some insane calls in their favour. |

I guess I was just imagining the 5 minute power play that saved San Jose from elimination in the first round. And the "offside" goal just called back.
Boston is self explanatory. Every fan base came in here during the series against the Leafs and talked about it. Every fan base said the same thing against Columbus.
But yeah, I must have imagined all that. |

I think he's eligible for waivers next year, so he'll very likely get a shot. If Johnsson wants too much, he might be an option to replace him as well. - Monkeypunk
I can definitely see him replacing Brown next year. My worry/concern is that Babcock convinces Dubas to trade him. |

If you honestly believe the NHL is fixing the playoffs so that two pre-determined teams are going to play in the Finals, why are you even watching?
That's the real question of imagination there. |

You didn't imagine that. Have you tried arguing with a Bruins fan on Twitter? It's kinda fun. Quite a few of them think that McAvoy's hit on Anderson was a clean hit and that Anderson sold it. |

I was obviously joking about it being rigged in their favour, because of how those two teams are obviously getting a stupid amount of insane calls in their favour.
Of course I don't actually think it's rigged. But that's not gonna stop me from pointing out the fact that they've been getting handed some games. Hence my joke that it's "rigged". |

I don't talk to people on Twitter anymore about hockey because Jeff Villette is stupidly annoying. Plus, if you call him out on something, he's got a little horde of idiots trying to back up the stupid thing he said.
And that's hilarious that some think that Anderson sold it.
McAvoy jumped and hit him square in the head. |

I don't care for Veillette either, he whines more than hoho does after we "return" his hat.
It's true, some Bruins fans are dumber than salt. Also called Marchand's punch to the back of harrington's head a hockey play |

Anybody but Carolina. - JohnFergusonJr
I think because they have backup goaltending, Carolina is the least favourite. But I like the way they play.
I don't like that San Jose shouldn't even be there, except for a penalty call so bad it knocked the refs out of the playoffs, too. I get the Joe Thornton appeal. I also think . . . '(frank) Joe Thornton'. So. You know.
I simply don't like Boston. If I did, I'd have to sell all of my Leaf paraphernalia.
I'm pretty meh on St. Louis. We should like Bozak, but. . . we spent 7 of the 9 years he was here wishing he was someone else. Why do we have to change now that he's gone? |

San Jose - Jumbo Joe
St. Louis - Tortured fans, paid their dues as a franchise
Boston - Beat the Leafs, Original Six, has some of the best players in the NHL
Carolina - (frank) that franchise |

Pfft. (frank) that guy. Someone should rip out his beard.

Pfft. They were nothing until they got our third line centre.

Now you have to sell all your Leafs poop. Maybe Chara can go cross-check the cup out of the legitimate winner's hands.
Carolina - (frank) that franchise - JohnFergusonJr
I mean. Sure. But sort of . . . (frank) them all.

Funny same thing was said by leafs fans over the Kadri hit.
Thing to remember is hockey twitter is outrageous and everyone is an idiot. Every fanbase if reflected negatively on twitter. Humans are as$holes.

I'm curious what the biggest play "handed" Boston the game? Also a lot of calls against them this year... puck off the netting, lost 3-4 challenges, Goalie Interference vs Toronto. It's easy to cheery pick

It's pretty obvious he's referring to the 2 minute call on McAvoy. That's a match penalty every time. He was even suspended as further proof.
Would Columbus have scored on a 5 minute Powerplay? Who knows? Would Columbus have benefitted without McAvoy on the ice for the third period? Who knows? Would Columbus have possibly scored a goal, changing the dynamic of the game? Who knows? If they had, would Columbus have benefitted from playing Boston without their best defenseman in game 7? Who knows?
It's a missed call, but it's a very bad call. The 5 minute against Vegas was worse because it was barely even a penalty, I'll grant!
That being said, I see Boston fans gripe about the puck of the netting - that happens frequently and it sucks. But you play to the whistle, and it is what it is - like the non-icing that benefitted Colorado against the Sharks. Those are plays, that as a player, you can control.
For the record, as a Leaf fan, I thought it was goaltender interference, but I also thought it was the right call since even if Hyman hadn't been anywhere near the crease on the play, there's no way a save is made on that play. |
