It's great and all (like, actually. I think that's good on him) to call those teams after they got screwed by trash officiating, but the fact that the officiating has been so incredibly bad has to change/be fixed.

They NEED to be held accountable. Fine them, suspend them, fire them. I don't care what you do, just do something.

I think it would begin by making the series supervisors accountable and available to the media. Mistakes are going to happen no matter what, but it is the job of the series supervisor to prepare the officiating crew before the games, and to listen to the teams' concerns during the series. They should also be responsible if they failed to prepare the officiating crew adequately. Make them face the music. It might make them pay attention to their preparatory work a little better.
