I've seen enough to realize that Botts hands are tied and it's the Kim show. It shouldn't be that way. The Pegula's have learned zilch in their 8 years of ownership.

Welcome to the abyss.

- Is Terry cool with this?

- Probation got lifted, I left right away. If the Sabres continue these type of seasons, I’ll be ready to move on from them as well.

It's the same argument as 2 years ago, but now it's KP instead of Russ Brandon. It was BS then, and it's BS now Imho.

There's no grand conspiracy here. Murray overpaid for talent, and Botterill has sold it for pennies on the dollar. That's why we're here. The Kim Pegula boogieman argument is a catch-all scapegoat for a series of poor decisions

I love how acquiring Skinner for pennies is left out of this astute analysis

What have you seen? The hearsay about Kane?
- kingcong39

8 years of this crappy ownership isn't enough for you? Enjoy next season when we'll be last in the league.

I'm 60 years old and tired of waiting and hoping things will get better. It's just how I feel.

It doesn't have to be "either/or". There's no doubt in my mind the Pegulas influenced the Kane trade. I don't think they had much to do with the O'Reilly trade other than "if he doesn't want to be here, then fine, get rid of him".

What moves has Botterill been prevented from making?

I thought it was laughable how they had a parade after we lost to Giants in the Super Bowl, everyone clapping and cheering for Norwood. What a joke.

You think he wanted to trade O'Reilly? I don't.

If the Pegula's were the impetus for trading and not signing Kane to the extension he got, isn't that a feather in their cap?

Influenced the Kane trade?

He was a pending UFA who wanted a long term deal and had been mediocre with this team

They had to make a change as they were the worst team in the league, and an embarrassment, and they couldn't make a small change. There's also talk that O'Reilly asked to be traded.

It was pretty well established the Pegulas wanted him gone after he was in the news for the wrong reasons multiple times, wasn't it?

It's the Buffalo way I guess.

I'm sick of the losing and have a bad feeling that the next HC is gonna be an underwhelming choice.

That was a good trade - assuming he signs, it will be a GREAT trade. Even if he doesn't, it was a fun year with Skinner, so that was worth it in my book.

The Sheary deal was pretty decent, and Montour seems like he'll be pretty good. Not qualifying Lehner isn't good, and the ROR trade is bad. Considering the return for Lehner, ROR and Kane is Sobotka, Thompson, Montour, pick 28 and a 2021 2nd, I think there's a lot to be desired there. If Skinner signs, then I will understand the cap space argument more. We'll see what happens. Botterill's track record has been mixed at best to this point, Imho. And no, I'm not a Murray fanboy or a Murray apologist. He wasn't good

You honestly have no clue what happens behind closed doors but yet you believe “stories “ about Kim if she’s so bad why haven’t any insiders Got any wind of this? I’m talking TSN , NHL etc It’s so laughable

Edit : they Kane trade was the family

She’s not a bad person at all I wish you could spend at least 10 minutes in the room with her to understand how crazy your rumors are

I can definitely see the Pegulas saying "we don't want to re-sign Kane." They take the type of shenanigans he repeatedly pulled very seriously.

I don't think they had much of anything to do with ROR. Botterill made a bad deal when trying to make over the team. That's it

I said McLellan, Martin and AV is who I heard after Housley was canned, we are down to 1 now. I hope i'm wrong about Martin, the game has passes him by IMO.
