There's so many moving pieces here. I feel like convincing Skinner to stay might take bold moves, in addition to a big pay day. I'm not convinced Botterill is the right guy to do either thing. If he doesn't sign, and if big moves aren't made on top of that, might as well go with Taylor as HC and fire both next spring.

I don't think people realize how (frank)ed the situation is. We lost 3 good assets for Sobotka, Thompson, Montour, pick 28 and cap space. 2 of the assets we lost are nominated for awards.

To this point, the extensive damage done by Murray has been exacerbated by Botterill. We have Dahlin and Mittelstadt to show for it, but really little else. I'm very surprised this board is still good with Botterill. He has 2 months to fix this
