More motivation for me to root for the Jerks to beat Boston. Tolerance encompasses accents too, folks!
On a personal note, years ago I took my oldest 2 kids to a game in Raleigh. My kids were around age 4 and 2 and dressed head to toe in Flyers gear. Folks from the Hurricanes were so nice to us. One of the staff stopped to tell me just how adorable my daughter was. “Perfect little hockey fan, just wearing the wrong colors.” It was fun. They would never hang up on someone like that; they are smart with manners.

From Dreger...
Kaapo Kakko scores a beauty for Finland. Uses speed...gets hooked and tripped by Montour, but finds a way to beat Murray on the backhand.
We should get used to that kind of play with having him and Hughes most likely in our division...I wonder how Carter would have played him...I am thinking stone wall - JW98FlyerFan
I wonder how many years into their NHL careers it will take Hughes and Kakko to score more than 30 points |

Hagg's salary, usage / minutes are fantastic IMO. My only issue was the fact that he made the team with Morin and then the Flyers (Hexy/Haksy) pulled a stunt and held back Morin, whom I believe, in the long run has a much bigger upside and effectiveness when stacked against Hagg. - Pixote Andolini
Pulled a stunt? Haag was more advanced as a player at that point in time which is why he made the team over Morin.

I know it's a little early in the off-season to bring this up, but NAK, Goulbourne, Vecchione, & Bardreau are all RFAs. I don't really follow the Phantoms, but for those of you that do, which of those players are you hoping get re-signed? Or do you just expect that they'll all be back? I just started thinking about how they would have to make room for Frost & Farabee if those guys don't make the Flyers, and the impact that may have on these RFAs.
Good thing we got an extensive look at NAK with the Flyers last year, and know exactly what we're dealing with... |

I think that Hagg is an above average 5,6 type dman and love him in that role.
Playing farther up though puts him in a bad spot so hopefully we dont have to deal with that. |

Hagg is a low ceiling guy that I think is playing pretty close to that ceiling. I don't see the point in jumping all over him. He's a 3rd pairing guy. If he's being used in the wrong situation then that is on the coaches imo.
The rest of the young kids on D have much higher ceilings and a lot more work cut out for them to reach them than Hagg does. |

hagg is a bottom pairing dman. all teams need bottom pairing dman. he is paid accordingly. Wont lose any sleep whether he is on the team or not. Bigger fish to fry than worrying about hagg at this point - daryl stanley
I’m every bit as worried losing Hägg as I am anyone else not named MacDonald, should we look to sign a veteran defender. Hägg is one of our more physical and steady defenders in his own end. I think most who don’t see a guy like Hägg bring flashy offense don’t think he’s anything special. My only issue with Hagg is his passing, most notably passing out of the zone. |

I think Hägg could be a good compliment to whomever he plays with regardless if he’s playing on pair 1, 2 or 3. He might not be Brayden Coburn but I would like to see more before passing judgement.
Right now today, Robert Hägg is better than Samuel Morin. Two camps ago Hägg was a lock to make the team out of camp ahead of Sanheim and Morin and he did. |

No, Morin didn’t. Otherwise Morin would have made the team. |

It wasn’t Hagg that had me upset that season (was it 2 seasons ago?), he seemed ready the start in the NHL. The debate was over Morin or the younger Sanheim, who looked like he needed more AHL experience and was later returned to the Phantoms.
It doesn’t matter anymore, Morin ended up getting hurt and it’s all history now. Morin should get a good look this coming season.

couple seasons ago. morin should have made it. as you said doesnt matter now.
Unless he is just flat out bad he will make the team. Also wonder if he would be claimed on waivers. |
