What makes him such a great candidate? - kingcong39
Former player agent, now cap specialist and AGM. Guided The Cleveland monsters to their first ever Calder Cup IIRC. Closer to the Dubas/Chayka school of Gm work then say rutherford in terms of analytics.
For a team that gets to start its build and cap from 0, a guy like zito is ideal |

I wouldn't worry too much about next season as they're in good shape even if they go $9m on skinner as they'll have some $20m to fill out the roster...as for the following season, bogo, Scandella and Sobotka are all off the books freeing up over $12.5 M in cap-space - Michael Pachla
The most interesting effect of a Skinner deal is Sam. If you pay Jack, Skinner, Dahlin, and Sam big $, then things get tight.

Counterpoint: Has Arizona even made the playoffs yet with the boy genius? Toronto has a loaded roster by signing Tavares, but with Marner's upcoming pay day, how much flexibility are they going to have? They've also flamed out in the playoffs in back to back years. |

That'll get a nice start when Ristolainen and Reinhart are traded this offseason. |

and your replacement is? - Michael Pachla
Can I pick anyone?
Panarin. Hall next year if not.
Realistic:
Call up Olo for 20-25 of those goals on Eichel's line
Sign Brock Nelson or Anders Lee
Save us about 3M per year and term, more goals all together as well. |

He won't trade Reinhart (nor should he), Im worried they'll keep Risto. The time to move him was shortly after they hired GMJB. |

I wish lol. They'll probably just package one of Johnsson/Kapanen with Zaitsev to clear some room. |

sam is a helluva complimentary player...how much should they pay him?...$6m?...$7m...is he worth $8 or 9m...that's where we're getting into expensive wingers that don't help the cap...
40 goals is more important than 40 assists...and I really like skunk

Defence is just as important as offence. Whatever gap there is in goals vs assists, it's washed out by the fact that Reinhart is at least competent in his own end.
He's also younger. |

Then they should let him walk.
