First among this fan base maybe. I think he's a modern Risto at a reasonable deal. he'll pile up the primary assists at even strength instead of the PP and his entries/exits are solid but the rest are average to below average.

If they had flipped Risto for more than they gave up for Montour I would've liked it in that moment.

The "President of Hockey/Football Operations" is one of the most ridiculous positions in all of sports. What's the point? Many teams have had them and failed miserably. Bill Parcells, one of the best minds in the history of the sport couldn't get the Dolphins over the hump, or the Cowboys.

With Dareus? It was pretty well known. And even if it wasn't it shouldn't be a surprise, almost all those guys use pot, they only test for it in the offseason.

I was surprised to hear @FriedgeHNIC mention Ralph Krueger today on @OilersNow as a possible head coach of the @BuffaloSabres.
I personally like Ralph and think he would do well in #Buffalo.
Dave Tippett and Jacques Martin also mentioned as possibilities

Buddy of mine works at a banking branch in the GTA. He just serviced Sheldon keefe’s wife and he talked to her about the Marlies and how he wanted him to replace Babcock (my buddy is a leafs fan of course) and she said that “Buffalo is in the mix” so take that fwiw.

Jason Botterill is dead man walking. The Sabres chances of making the playoffs anytime soon under the current format are very remote at this point. Give the first 3 spots to TB, Boston and Toronto for the forseeable future. The Panthers have more talent and now have Coach Q and are primed to add talented UFAs like Panarin. The Habs are also likely better than us for the next couple seasons.

No playoffs next season and the seat is going to be very warm for GMJB. I think he's out of work no later than April of 2021. And whichever coach he hires will go with him. I suspect this is why not many coaches want to come to Buffalo right now.
