People need to be positive
Tampa Bay
Toronto
Boston
All of them are going to be worse next year than this year because of cap issues or in Boston’s case getting older with Chara, Bergeron and Marchand.
Toronto is going to lose key players in probably Kadri, Gardiner and maybe even someone like Kapanen
Tampa will have to shed at least someone like Cirelli, Johnson or Gourde and are losing a few D men as well.
The Sabres can start to close the gap, as we also free up our cap situation - OneKaneOneCup
What ? How they will still have the best core in the game (. Tampa )
Boston we say this is the year but they restocked the roster They will probably be good for another eight years |

They still will.
My point is that all three are at their peaks right now.
This was Toronto’s best shot this year IMO. They have to shed talent
Tampa will absolutely not repeat this season
Boston is aging.
We will gain some points in the standings on them. I’m not saying we will pass them |

Trade Risto to EDM for #8 overall
Trade Sam and Borgin to WPG for Trouba
Sign Myers to RHD to fill Risto spot (Montour is taking Risto spot on PP anyway)
Trade 32, okposo and sobotka to Ottawa for a 5th
Sign zuccarello
Sign Skinner
Draft Boldy and Zegras at #7 and #8
It’s some big changes which are needed, and is a big shift from some big players who have been on losing teams.
Skinner/eichel/ollofson
Nylander/Mitts/zucc
Smith/?/?
?/Rodriguez/?
Dahlin/trouba
Mccabe/montour
Pilot/Myers
Bogo
Boldy and Zegras in the system. Would need a #2 Center who will turn into a 3 when Mitts in ready. Maybe Tampa needs capspace and trades Johnson cheap? Fill out bottom of roster with new blood.
Sign a better goalie next year over Hutton until UPL is ready. - Fattony1187
Why would anyone want Tyler Myers in a buffalo uniform again?
Haven't we seen enough soft/tall play out of tage and Myers the first go round?

Boston is aging? They have one of the youngest roster we have a older group then them currently
How will Tampa not repeat they will be dropping guys with high cap hit to sign ( maybe ( bread Or EK )and keeping the core together some sucker team is going to take miller and Callahan “ cough “sabres
The leafs I don’t give 2 poops about them but they will still be in the playoffs next they’re going to be so happy when they lose Jake Gardner because he stinks you got Bracco who’s going to kill it and Grundstrom and Rasmus Sandin who is a crazy stud

Yes their best player by a wide margin in Bergeron will be 34 when the season starts
Chara is 40 and Marchand is 31 already

This is not true, bruins average age is 28 where as ours is 26.1. |

Chara is there for his leadership he’s alright. But they have McAvoy ,Brandon Carlo who I’m jealous they have
Then you have Heinen, DeBrusk and Bjork who should break out in a year now they have Charlie Coyle Who will probably unlike his true talent in Boston lol The Bruins are like the patriots they don’t die

That's a good point. I thought you meant a guy to replace risto as our 3rd guy.
Benn adds some toughness.
I'd be happy with these guys being gone: minimum
Scandella
Larrson/sobotka
Bogo/okposo

I'm fine with giving tall tage another legitimate nhl shot next season, with a different coach.
He needs to progress then or leave
He can be 1 of the 16 forwards next year to start the season.
We have bigger problems

Again, none of those young players are close to what Bergeron is and Bergeron is getting up there.
They won’t be better than what they are now. At least for a while.
I don’t know how you can argue this |

He needs to add 20 pounds and use his size to his advantage and I think he can be a cost effective top 9 guy for Us. |

I don’t care about basketball tbh. Tonight was the first time I’ve watched a game all year. Raptors were never going anywhere with Derozan. They shot their shot like Columbus did this year in the NHL. |
