Van is a gorgeous city. State of franchise now yeah we will probably need to over pay a bit but its better than more beagles yuck. If I was 28 years old looking at our roster and where we kive amd the amount of tail in this town and you offered me say 10 mil as a panarin id strongly consider it.
Players coach poop gm but the rest is good. Ownership that spends team just needs to tuen the corner - Jkuzzi
1st up is signing Boeser & what price we can do it at. After that we might afford a big contract. Yes EP & Hughes are up in 2 yrs but the cap will have risen. Capology will be very now & later. |

Yes and Vancouver is the only team that would have any interest in Kapanen so leafs have no choice but to make a poop deal. - ClarksonDavid
Your team is going to be in complete shambles by the end of next season.
Edit: after another 1st round exit. |

It’s not a big deal. You can use LTIR in the summer too, the rules are a bit different but it’s not their biggest worry. They will have to move guys down to minors for opening day I think is how it works, then use the LTIR and bring them back up. Basically paperwork. I’m sure it would be easier if Horton wasn’t around, but it’s not enough for them to attach him to Kapanen to get rid of him. - ClarksonDavid
All very true other than the Leafs don’t have the cap space to keep everyone as it stands. Gardiner at least is gone & still more cap is needed. Horton’s cap hit is blocking the season starting roster. |

It’s really not. It’s not what they’re worried about, there’s so much material out there just go look. I’ve never seen a single person that covers the Leafs say the leafs have to do everything they can to get rid of Horton. It’s Marleau, Zaistev guys like that. |

Yes but those are hard players to move. What the Leafs want to do is easier said than done. Marleau won’t waive & Zaitsev is an anchor contract. |

I know. I honestly find the draft exciting so I’m looking forward to the rebuild. Leafs and Vancouver will be fighting over who’s taking who top 10 for years. Probably will see lots of leaf fans in here in the coming years. |

Who the fu%k would take Zaistev
Marleau has a full NMC . Gets paid part of his bonus on July 1 and the remainder of his bonus in December . Do you really think he will give up part of his bonus to make sure you guys are cap happy |

Either way the Horton deal doesn’t matter really. You won’t find a write up stressing the Leafs need to move him this summer. If they ever would have really pushed to get rid of him it was during the season so they could of spent to the cap, as Horton wasn’t on injury reserve this year because bonus overages (Marner/Matthews) would have slid to this coming season. |

The JT signing has made a mess of the Leafs cap. Was it a good contract now? |

Anyone of value would have to pass on waivers . Good luck with that.
Anyone who wouldn't require waivers would probably not have cap value and would not help their situation. |

All a byproduct of JT’s & AM’s contract with Marner yet to cash in. Serious cap issues to build the rest of the roster is problematic. |

Obviously. I’m just saying leafs aren’t adding valuable pieces to Horton to move him cause that contract isn’t that big of a burden for them as they can bury it. Its all I’ve been saying. Leafs will just move a guy like Kapanen or let him go on a OS if it actually gets that out of hand, bring up a prospect. Move Kadri, sign a cheaper 3rd line center. There’s options. Should be an interesting summer. |

Yes. Top 10 player damm right it was. Look what happened ti marner cause of it as well. Get great players its how to win. Their issues are sjit contracts like marleau and zaitsev. Imahine the 10.5 for those 2 spent on karlsson. Jands down cup faves |

Moving Kadri is most likely happening. The 4th line isn’t great. |

The 4th line was pretty good as far as 4th lines go. I’m okay with moving Kadri, good player and will probably be better on another team where he’s not behind Matthews/JT. Brown will be on the move for sure too. |

I’ve a penchant for writing line-ups & see how the cap is divided up. Lots of cap wizardry will the Leafs need.
The Canucks might be facing that in 2 years if they don’t manage the cap well now & later. |

It can be done tho. Won’t be able to make big additions or anything this off season, unless they can find a way to move out the poopty two contracts Lou left them. |
