It’s not a big deal. You can use LTIR in the summer too, the rules are a bit different but it’s not their biggest worry. They will have to move guys down to minors for opening day I think is how it works, then use the LTIR and bring them back up. Basically paperwork. I’m sure it would be easier if Horton wasn’t around, but it’s not enough for them to attach him to Kapanen to get rid of him.

If they ever would have really pushed to get rid of him it was during the season so they could of spent to the cap, as Horton wasn’t on injury reserve this year because bonus overages (Marner/Matthews) would have slid to this coming season.

The 4th line was pretty good as far as 4th lines go. I’m okay with moving Kadri, good player and will probably be better on another team where he’s not behind Matthews/JT. Brown will be on the move for sure too.
