It can be done tho. Won’t be able to make big additions or anything this off season, unless they can find a way to move out the poopty two contracts Lou left them. - ClarksonDavid
A HUGE job is ahead this offseason. |

We don't need to do much.
Winger for Bo.
RHD.
Draft well.
Easy. |

I guess you haven't been watching the playoffs, the Canucks have a long way to go. They need at least 2 more skilled wingers for the top 6, a 4th line that doesn't cost over $10 million and 3 more top 4 d-men.
Easy. |

lol I'm not saying playoffs next year champ. Improving slowly and I know exactly what they need.
You just stick to those bottom 3 predictions and let the adults speak.

As we stand we need...
A healthy Sven
A top 6 winger
Top 2 D
Prospects in the system to feed us for injuries & &/or trade assets. |

All true and the injuries of course are key aspects.
But we'll get there...slowly.
I'm not sold on Sven long-term and we have Hughes coming in and he will be a game changer.
That top 4 RHD is gonna be an issue though. |

Cool, this we agree on.
You did say, however , was all that they needed was 1 winger to go with Bo and a RHD as well as a good draft. I didn't read between the lines, please forgive me.
The bottom 3 prediction was not remotely outlandish. I have admitted I was wrong, I guess I should have sent you an personal apology via private message. |

lol all good just giving you a hard time.
I understand all your reservations on FA's bad trades picks and the like...I get it.
But I do like the improvement of the club albeit slow. All I'm saying is find a winger for Bo (which may be Pearson) and a RHD to work with Hughes and draft well...that;s it for next season.
We have moved up 3 spots per season since 2017...29th, 26th and now 23rd.
I don't expect or even want playoffs next year as that means more stupid decisions to get to the PO's. But we will improve to 17th - 20th spot IMO. So that brings intangibles.
They year after that however is another story. Pettersson and Hughes are game-changers for this club. Many don't see it yet and maybe they quite aren't generational but if we provide them the support they need in the top 6 forwards and the top 4 D we are gonna compete IMO.
Don't even get me started on goaltending lol |

Personally I think these guys are big game chargers, in the regular season, although I really hope they both bulk up, I am worried about long term injuries.
Watching the playoffs I don’t think this team has the physical fortitude to play any team in the conference, Beagle and Roussel will be busy. |

1 will be the PP qb, the other will hopefully put on some weight and become a very good player for this organization.
I agree with your concerns about how they perform, come playoffs. |

For sure I understand the differences between reg. season an PO's. For sure something that will need to be worked on. |

Sven is not a "need". He's filler. Totally expendable.
This team has lots of filler. |
