Hell to the no lol

I cannot express enough how lucky the Rangers were not getting 3rd pick. That’s so typical of the rangers luck for that to have happen too

- Slimtj100

See the edit. I know 98% of you, rightfully, probably wouldn't (I wouldn't either) but curious if Kakko being off the board would change that.

It won't happen but, conceptually-speaking, would you guys trade #2 for #4 & #16 from Colorado?

edit: and, after most of you tell me "no way Kakko is a stud", would you do it if NJD surprised everyone and took Kakko first overall?

I would not, no

the only tempting thing, I'd still say no, is trading #2 to Chicago for #3 and Boqvist

Yeah and I think that would be too steep of a price for them to pay to move up one pick. It would be a hell of a draft for the Rangers to have 4, 16, 20 though. You might even be able to package 16/20/2nd rounder to get back up near the top 10 and try to snag Caufield

My question to you is: who at #4 would you take?

LA wants Byram bad. I don’t think Chicago would take him because they were saying they have a bunch of D prospects already. Idk who but it’s just what I heard haha

Depends who goes at 3. If CHI doesn't take Turcotte, then definitely him. You could take Byram or Zegras if he's off the board though.

My point exactly.
You're not sure who you would take because none of the prospects stands out at #4 where you would state: "Thats our guy!"

We happily stay at #2.
Easy pass...

Chicago has some good defensemen in their system, I think they're going to snag Turcotte and that's something I'd personally agree with

I could see LA trading #5 and #22 to Chicago for #3 if they are that gonzo for Byram

Hard pass on trading the #2. There’s no clear cut guy at 4, and depending on the team I think #3 could be 3 different guys.

If you are lucky enough to get in the #2 hole, you should run with it, because its tough to get back in that #2 hole again

You need to select the right player though, you don't want to get any poop on your pick

The Rangers should hire Hakan Loob to help whoever they take in the #2 hole have an easier entry to the organization
