That's the thing. People who play hockey and some other sports even at a recreational level are athletes. I see a lot of "golfers" that probably have a hard time walking to the golf section at a store.

Nope, it's not a sport unless there is someone defending against you. Now if there is someone blocking the hole, or trying to disrupt your swing, then it would be a sport. But as it is, it's an activity.

It’s the hardest thing in sports to be really really good at is my point. I’m not a golf apologist either lol it’s just very hard to do well. No “activity” should be that difficult to harness
