the other thing is people tend to talk like what a player did recently is what they will do going forward. Like he had 27 points in 54 games which is a 41 point pace.

So from now on he is a 40 point player, therefor the Leafs overpaid

MacKinnon had a PPG of .7 during his ELC... but Nylander (PPG .73) won’t get 60 points again, let alone 70.

Idiots trying to out UG each other...

All I did was post the stats and added “oh.” Somehow they turned that into thinking a) I’d take Nylander over MacKinnon, and b) that I think Nylander will be a Hart candidate.

It’s fascinating watching people spin any comment to fit their narrative argument.

They're no comparison in their games now IMO.

Nylander will probably hit 60 again, with Matthews of course, but he's no Nate Mackinnon.

Try doing it harder, won't have to do it so many times.

MacKinnon is probably my favourite player in the league to watch.

He has every tool that you want in a player.

Speed, Size, Hands, Shot, Vision

The complete player.

Yeah, guy creates something every single shift.

Plays well defensively too.

He's goddamn awesome.

Matt Martin has a room full of VHS with every game ever played. That's why he and Leo outlasted the Leafs.
- The Law

Played a whopping 1 more game than the Leafs, though.

Talk about incredibly good timing for Colorado. Had his contract been up a year later, he'd be making 4-5 million more.

We are presuming he didn't watch the games.

He did.

It is a negotiating tactic to show disinterest.

- Aetherial

So was he negotiating throughout the 2018-19 season?

Morning, fellas.

He had 53 points in the first year of his new deal.

Colorado got lucky, MacKinnon didn't really explode until his 5th season;

Hey guys,

I'm playing in this year's Hockey De Rue charity tournament organized by the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation. The proceeds of the tournament go to funding facilities and providing resources for underprivileged children in Montreal to enjoy sports and recreation services. I think it's a good cause and I'm moving back to Toronto in about a month so this is my last hurrah for doing something good for the city I've lived in for the last 14 years.

If anybody wants to provide a small donation, PM me and I can send you a link to my fundraiser and team page. You can also read more about the cause there.

Thanks!
