Again, it varies by state, and it is not necessarily the law in Florida. Florida's dram shop statute specifically states that a bar cannot be held liable for damages caused by an intoxicated person it served unless: (1) the intoxicated person was a minor or (2) the bar knew the intoxicated person to be habitually addicted to alcohol. I posted the Florida statute a few pages back.
