He’s 4 years older than Babcock and one year younger than Q.
Your hate is showing. - Der Kaiser
the move does nothing for me
59 year old coach that had one season under his belt as a head coach and went on to work for soccer for 5 or 6 years
if the man truly loved hockey he would have stayed in the sport
we needed an impact nhl head coach and instead we hired an aging part timer

I’ve seen your posts in EK’s thread so I Know you’ve seen the Edmonton fans posting there and saying what a mistake it was when they fired him.
The players on Team Europe for the World Championships said he is amazing getting the best from his players. The word is his time as a World Jr coach makes him very good developing young talent.
I don’t know if he works out, but I’m not focusing on the negative. |

I’m indifferent. I have zero expectations for this team.
If he sucks Botts goes as does Kruger and we start another rebuild.

I am prepared for the worst
we got eichel and dahlin and instead of a young minded coach or a veteran NHL coach, we dig up a fossil from a soccer stadium
total yes man for the owners
hope I am wrong, I really do |

HEY.... HEY... HEY.... What’s with the social security crap? I start collecting in September and I don’t think I am old or over the hill.... I would be more concerned that this Krueger fella starts to show up in your dreams.... |

Bylsma was a veteran coach.
Housley was a NHL assistant.
But go on.
Maybe it’s time to try something different. |

not really
I mean your first shot out of the gun was comparing him to babcock or Q
so when he gets in the hall of fame, will he wear an oilers cap or a sabres cap?
oh wait he has a better chance getting in the soccer hall of fame |

I compared his AGE to Babcock and Qs. You called him a dinosaur and a fossil. If Babcock and Q at their ages can be HOF quality, then his age doesn’t prevent him from performing well.
But go on. |

Based on what some Edmonton fans say about Krueger I'm hopeful and want to be cautiously optimistic that he was the right hire.
A few things
1) Who he gets to fill out his staff? An experienced NHL coach would help as his main assistant.
2) What moves Botts makes this summer to improve the team.
3) Will Skinner be open to an extension now that the coach is hired?

Congrats Kaiser. U were the first to mention him. Hope it works out. I like it. Go to Instigators On Demand audio on WGR app or website and listen to their interview with Friedman if u haven’t already. He says a lot of positive things about Krueger. |

This board:
Get rid of Eichel
Get rid of {insert coach's name here}
Get rid of Risto
Get rid of Rhino
Get rid of Nylander
Get rid of Botterill
Get rid of Krueger
Get rid of, get rid of, get rid of.........
Can anyone here put together a cohesive plan OR, are you all enjoying the negativity and the downside? Which one of you is GM quality? And, besides Kaiser, how many of you insiders knew about this coaching hire? If you were on the inside, you would probably be pulling the strings.
How about we give this one a chance? Josh Allen is NOT out of the league, even though he was drafted and the majority of Bills fans wrote him off before hitting the field. Dahlin is NOT in the HOF (yet? - hopeful). Krueger is NOT Housley.
Perhaps we should watch the off-season, pay attention to the roster surgery to come, watch training camp and then get to the season. Nothing happened today but a step in the direction of improvement (TBD - I know).
It has to be very difficult for the message board folks to carry this much disdain towards one thing on a daily basis. Tiresome.......................
Be well all. |

For the first 55 games of this season we were Colorado East. Only difference was that the Western Conference was a such a poopshow That Colorado hung in the race longer and squeaked in. Even with how bad the Sabres had been by game 70 they still would of held a spot in the West but by that time we were 10 points out in the East.
Krueger is well known for his PP acumen as he helped the Oilers go from 27th to top 5. If he can help our special teams show a pulse that will make us a much better hockey team. Botts needs to provide Eichel another line that is capable of scoring, a couple upgrades over Girgs/Larsson for the bottom 6, and another d-man. Hopefully Hutton/Ullmark can provide us with the goaltending they did before the streak ended. We have a ton of cap space, 7th OA pick coming, and and a Eichel/Dahlin combo. It could be a lot worse.

How would you feel if the Bills hired Brockport athletic director to coach the Bills this fall and fire Sean today?
if this does not put things in perspective, nothing will and your punch drunk on sabres kool aid |
