here's another fact, Fletcher is going to A. Sign a FA B. Make a trade C. Promote from within. here's something even crazier, maybe he does all 3!!

The fact is this is what the whole hockey talk during the summer is about, speculation and hypothetical.

All we're saying is that signing a top 6 guy or two, pushes down everyone in the lineup and then creates this 4th line who i think majority of the fan base would be happy with. why is that so hard to understand?

yeah we have to go against the other 30 teams in the league, but hey, here's a thought, they have to go against us too. Corey Pronman rated us as having the 12th best farm system without including guys like Sanheim, Myers, Hart, Patrick, and Lindblom. There still is talent there and there are still a ton of draft picks we have.

we have a new coach, a new GM, an established core, a solid crowd of youth players, including our (hopefully, praying on everything) future in goal. Plus, even though Comcast isn't what Ed Snider and Co. brought to the game, the Flyers are still viewed as an organization that does whatever they need to for their players and takes care of them at the same time.

We have just a good a chance as anyone in my opinion.

I think it was me who mentioned it, or maybe not, I know im not the only one who thinks this, but its not automatically stating it as a fact bro. None of this is fact, its all speculation/hypothetical/what you'd like to see/ etc etc etc etc. My thoughts were is that if we can make that our fourth line, fill in the holes that it would make, which I think would be either a top line guy and a 2nd line guy or 2 2nd line guys, then you can have a roster where you can roll all 4 lines and don't have much of a drop off, or have to see guys like Lehtera, Knight, Varone, etc etc.

I think maybe we have talked it to death, but I’ll go ahead and throw a few more bites out there.

Raffl is the only one of the Raffl, Laughton and Hartman trio that could feasibly get bumped down to the 13 spot if some unexpected rookie plays out of their mind. There are a lot of roster scenarios where one of Laughton or Hartman are needed in a 3rd line role, especially Laughton if G is at center. And there is the injury factor—making it unlikely that the trio are able to play the entire season together.
