MacKinnon is a C, Nylander is predominantly a winger. MacKinnon didn't tear it up until his 5th season. How about we give Nylander a chance?

How many guys can they have like this? And how will the depth look with that cap situation, the d as well? That's the conundrum. Let's say he comes out gangbusters next year. Great. But without his scoring they have plenty of scoring. So what about the other areas of the team that are far more pressing than another skilled winger making 7 million a year.?

Yes that would have been dumb. The avs werent up against the cap, werent completely loaded up front and needed to fill holes on the back end.
