Na, people get it. Goofs looking to troll don't - burn
Can you imagine if MacKinnon was a leaf and put up those early career numbers? These guys would have crucified him. |

It wasn't an actual comparison though. It was more about being patient with Nylander. Perhaps I should have said the Leafs should be patient with Nylander just like Colorado was with MacKinnon. - PatC80
I thought you were pretty clear. |

Fair enough. But ultimately is Nylander what they need moving forward? I mean, unless he morphs into Mac is he really necessary? Can't they score lots without him. Don't they need his cap space for defence? - aminnes
Yes he's the best RW under contract for the Leafs ...currently. |

IMO, yes. I think Nylander has the potential to be a 70-80 point guy, we can't just give up on that. |

So the Leafs get to have a high scoring winger but can't win as a team because they are using up all their cap space with the forwards. Again. (frank) individual players. The team needs to win. |

And maybe he won’t pan out but I think it’s a pretty good gamble to wait and see. |

I think he's been expected to do too much on a poopty team. In a reduced role with less pressure he'd do well. - PatC80
I can't see it. He's just terrible at everything that's not a power play. |

You could be right. I think at this point I'm desperate for anything that resembles an actual RHD. We all know if we play Boston again next year we won't get any powerplay chances. |

Hmmmm
Im just apprehensive about moving out that quality 3rd line center.
Kadri in the 3 spot is great....if he werent so stupid every Boston series. - Fakepartofme
And on a great contract.
Unless it's for legit help on defense, Kadri should stay put.
He'll learn from his mistakes. |

I've been on this for over 10 years. Several of those commenting have supported absolutely stupid crap the leafs have done over the years. I know exactly where they stand. And for god sakes, being part of that group is not something I would be proud of. |

I'm hoping that Nashville panics and by some miracle they trade Ellis to the Leafs. |

Ellis would be a great addition. A lot of talk of Subban and Turris being available. I'd like Subban here if we could fit him in.
Edit; I'm not comparing Subban to Ellis. |
