No need, they can go over 10 percent during the off season, that will give them about 18 million.
And there will be lots of cap relief at the start of the season because of injuries.

Anyone calling for Kadri to be traded is not thinking things through.

He is a Leafs draft pick, he's from the area, he's been brought up through the system and his cap hit is ridiculously low for what he brings. Finally, he's one of the ONLY players we have with balls....he just needs to use them a bit differently.

I think the problem with Kadri is that he IS the ONLY player that plays with edge so its sooo obvious and out in the open when he does. If he was surrounded by a few other players that play with edge the focus wouldn't be just on him. I.e.: Chara, Marchand, DeBrusk, McAvoy.....((frank) you Boston!)

I would rather trade Nylander than Kadri, and I'm a huge fan and would hate to lose Wille. Kadri is a better 3rd C IMO.

-Nylander + (maybe Brown or Zaitsev and a pick) for Parakyo,
-sign Johnson and Kap
-bring up the best out of the gritty (frank)ers from the Marlies.

Disagree.. It had to be said.

I like that Kadri plays with a bit of an edge, he can't keep doing dumb poop though..
I think right now, Kadri has a lot of trade value and to be honest, when your top 2 C are making $11M+, you can't afford to pay your 3rd line C, $4.5M per

I agree that Kadri will be on the out, but his suspensions carries a risk. A team will likely give what for him? A 4th? From what I've seen with the Hawks is that teams aren't excited to help a team clear cap. Trades are always one-sided with little return.

It will be a Leafs Fire Sale in about 6-7 weeks.

St. Louis is not trading Parayko now at all. And especially not for Nylander.

Marleau is no where near the same player he used to be.. Brown is a bottom 6 winger, and scored 20 goals because he played with Matthews
