i've always suspected dog breeders were behind the virus in an effort to drum up sales. thanks for the evidence. you and i should set up a youtube channel explaining what's really going on so the sheeple can break free.

my first dog was a pure breed so i know the costs associated with it! a few thousand on a dog seems extravagant but they really are a member of the family.

anyway, my little guy is a rescue this time but still ended up being about 800ish which surprised me (thought it would be a nominal charge lol.)

What a collection of characters we come across from reading these “hockey blogs”.

I can remember that I was told my life must be pathetic because I don’t watch movies or know who’s who in the zoo when names or phrases are quoted.

Last night I spent in my shop watching/listening to the Seahawks game while putzing around on different poop.

Social media is a cancer that will influence so many conspiracies it’s mind numbing. And then these conspiracy warriors post this poop to influence or recruit like minded individuals that start (frank)ed up movements to correct their perceived wrongs to humanity.

So who’s (frank)ing life is pathetic here, well not trying to influence anyone here, but I’ll take my putzing around in my shop every night over searching google for atrocities committed by white guys or the Uber rich getting Uber Uber rich.

Absolutely getting another dog, when the time is right. I have had a dog my entire life, from a very young child to the curmudgeon old man I have become.

it will be great teaching and life experience for your kids, but you really need to understand the commitment you will be signing up for because the majority of the responsibilities will fall on you, at least until everyone is on the same page

The amount of times I come home from work and my 150lb dog has barely any fresh water available is gross.

Given his size, he needs plenty of water. Also, his size makes it that he's not the easiest to control at times and needs a firm hand.

The eldest daughter and my wife keep telling me i'm doing things wrong, based on what they've seen on youtube. However, at the end of the day I'm the only one that can completely control him.

I love the little pup but he's so much work.

i got my second dog in january. he's the sweetest most gentle guy. but.... he's scared of everything!

he peed in the house last night because he gets scared of heavy rain (guard dog he ain't!) he sure got a talking to this morning.

now he's sleeping by my feet as i work from home.

10/10 would definitely do again!

More good advice for bloated, if it’s for the kids they have to take responsibility and walking a dog like a Bernese Mountain dog would rip their arms out of their sockets.

I don’t think a Bernese Mountain dog would be suited for condo lifestyle, so research before buying.

He was asked to stay out of Carols blog months ago, and he actually adhered to it..

WhiteLie banned him a while back and he obviously has worn out his welcome with other refs because kaptaan doesn’t post under that username he uses MisterBrown now.

Yeah, I grew up with dogs but you are correct, mom and dad took care of them. It’s selfish but that’s the reason why I don’t want to get one right now. I have so little time for myself between wife and two kids, plus an aging mother, and a demanding job.

I was thinking how jealous I am of your shop. I’d kill for my own shop right now.

My preference is Jack Russells, big dog attitude in a small body. They need constant companionship or they can be spiteful little bastards. Our Jack is awesome!

How does your Jack handle the squirrels or other small creatures? Does he lose his mind trying to grab them?

No squirrels on the island. There's a chipmunk on the neighbours big fir tree that really pisses him off. The blue jays torment him and he chases crows as the fly over head. He's only just noticing rabbits on some walks but surprisingly not interested on chasing them. On leash, anyway.

Not sure if you know who Martin Clunes is (English TV personality) but he did this great doc series on dogs. The English do docs well... Anyway he did one segment on dog instincts that featured Jack Russells. It's a good one.

It's not really a dog but it's far less work in some respects. You just need piss pads while you take 6 years to teach it to do it's business outside. Not my kind of dog.

Then again, they live for a long time unless you sit on it or break it some other way.

I strained my groin a few weeks ago. Not really a big deal except you're kind of limited for awhile. Five days after it happened my wife took the dog to the vet and they had to put him under while they performed a minor procedure.

He was having none of it so they called me in and I had to wrestle him down while they administered the needle. He stared at me with disgust for about 12 hours afterwards.

Had I been there from the beginning it might not have been necessary but once he figured out he was in control of the situation ........

Do not get a pom! I love dogs but internally I wanted to kick that thing so many times. Such an annoying little breed. The memories make me clench my teeth.

We had a lady in the neighbourhood that would bring her pom into our house while my dog was a puppy and growing.

The little poop would get really aggressive with my dog and then their owner would tell us our dog wasn't well trained when he'd go back at the dog.......in our house.

One day I started giving our dog commands in front of her when her little pom wasn't around to distract him and our dog had gotten a little older. She was quite impressed. I let her know he was 1 1/2 years old and asked her if her 8 year old dog could do the same.
