Yes, the nuclear part is pretty scary. Especially as the EU ramps up their military support and sanctions, and Russia's economy will start to crumble (ruble down 30% today)... it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Unfortunately, I think we as a species are too dumb, and we will wipe ourselves out one way or another before we ever reach that peaceful planet.

Maybe colonized Mars will be peaceful? Though, if anyone has watched The Expanse (which is quite a good show), that's also doubtful.

Too greedy for sure. There are plenty of nations that don't spend much on military, I live in one of them. It's still a good idea to have an army of sorts even if it's only there to protect and serve the country during times of natural disasters.

How often does a Nucker post mention “ALPHA”. It’s how most species organize themselves. On a small scale you have an alpha individual. On a larger scale you have alpha groups. Above that you have alpha countries. We just can’t help ourselves. Why would America feel the need to use Ukraine to destabilize Russia other than to assert dominance. Why is Putin in Ukraine but to do the same? You can argue geopolitics but it’s just a big dlck measuring competition. With bombs.

This is the very militia you talked about being used by America. John McCain was the go between... there are pictures of him arm and arm with the leadership when he was drumming up support to arm this group to start poop with the ethnic Russians in the east who refused to accept that their government had been overthrown by foreign meddling.... they also did the lions share of violence during EuroMaidan that turned into a armed revolt.

Not to justify or okay Nazism, because it's flat wrong, but curious how many Nazi/white supremacists you'd guess are in the Canadian military, or American military, or any military around the world. I know the German military (and the country with the AfD party) has been dealing with that for a while.

Clearly there a difference in numbers/power/opportunities for action, however there's also a difference in context and stability as a democracy in Ukraine.

I think what he is pointing out is that one country welcomed a known faction into their organization as a stand alone unit. Organizations the world over have to deal with individuals with hateful views but Amazon didn’t hire the Columbus chapter of the Proud Boys to run that office.
