I don't disagree, that parts of the document could use modernization, but I'm talking about this single issue. Birthright citizenship. Maybe it needs to be changed.
- Pacificgem

Maybe it does, but that's a conversation held for the public and for lawmakers, no? Trump is basically skirting the norms and standards of changing the constitution to force his desire in front of (eventually) the Supreme Court.

One pro/con Trump has is that he shoots from the hip. He'll say something then figure it out afterwards. Mexico wall payment. Healthcare reform. Now it's Canada as a state (doubt he's seriously considered the logistical nightmare of this fantasy), Greenland, and birthright amongst others. The birthright thing extends beyond just giving people a passport, but questions the very idea of what America is and what America was founded upon. I'm not sure those layered questions really cross his mind.

I don’t care, it has no bearing on me. But two things. 1) Although it’s rare, the U.S. constitution has been amended 27 times. 1992 being the last time. 2) The 14th amendment was passed by the Senate on June 8, 1866, and ratified two years later, on July 9, 1868. Some 157 years ago, maybe it needs to be changed to reflect modern times.

You’re so hateful when it comes to anything Trump, typical emotional Liberal, maybe changing this actually makes sense. Maybe?

It's all the libs have at this point. Common sense thinking has them triggered as their woke policies are going bye bye.

"I think the people want to be with us," Trump said when asked about the island in the press room on board the presidential plane.

"I don't really know what claim Denmark has to it, but it would be a very unfriendly act if they didn't allow that to happen because it's for the protection of the free world," he added.

"I think Greenland we'll get because it has to do with freedom of the world," Trump continued.

"It has nothing to do with the United States other than that we're the one that can provide the freedom. They can't."

Honestly you are one daft fucking clown. Lefty actually isn't all that wrong if we have to endure another libtard govt as clowns like you won't support common sense policies from Trump/Poilievre and the like we will continue to circle the drain until Canada becomes exactly that a 51st state in 10-15 years. One more 9 year run of libtard clowns like you and we are finished. You claim not to be a libtard but yet you won't support Trump or Poilievre and common sense policies. You claim not to like JT (which is hoesh!t) lol but yet you won't pick a side but continually whine about the current state of affairs that you contributed to. Definitely one of the biggest fucking clowns on here...

You really are the dumbest fuck on the planet. I’ve said many times I support PP. Trump is a different animal. Some of his policies are fine. If he’d shut his pie hole and not say dumb poop all the time. You’re a complete moron. Trump opens his mouth and nothing but lies and hate come out. Not surprising you support Trump. You’re just like him. An idiot with a complex. Every time you post it’s just more lies. Pathetic really.

How many of his Jan 6 pardons have already been re-arrested for other crimes?

Between 1965 and 1970 the population of polar bears was estimated at only 8,000 - 10,000 and it was classified as an endangered species.

Fortunately, in 1973, an international agreement banned the hunting of the polar bear, only the native Inuits are allowed to kill them. Since the ban, the polar bear population steadily increased and the current population worldwide is now between 22,000 - 31,000.

You need to fact check this. American hunters every year come to Canada to trophy hunt Polar Bear.

Canada joined the ban but refuses to stop the guided hunts provided to sport hunters by the Inuit. As usual, double standards and cowards when it comes to enforcing First Nations.

I think the post was just a shot at the WEF climate tax scammers, of which Al Gore is a part of. I just thought it was funny and was happily surprised to find out the polar bears have made a significant rebound from hunting bans.

And don't read into that, that I don't believe the climate is changing, the earth's climate has been changing since it was formed. To what degree we are affecting that is up for debate by people way more intelligent than I.

A lot of scientists opinion vary depending on who's funding them, so I don't put much into people who are bought to provide bought information.

The climate is changing. And people and our consumption is having a big part to do with it. Where I have a big problem is with the “solutions” that are being pushed on everyone.

If we could magically take 500 million gas vehicles off the roads and replace them with 500 million EV’s ( which is not even possible) it would not change a thing. The whole idea that we can keep increasing population and keep consuming resources as long as we do it differently is ridiculous.

One of the biggest grifts was the personal carbon footprint thing put out by BP. Put all the onus on the individual, not the corporations who don't give two (frank)s about how much poop they pump into the environment

The Art of The Deal...

"Victor Davis Hanson dissects Donald Trump’s unconventional strategies in reshaping international relations, highlighting how Trump flips left-wing rhetoric to challenge the global status quo. From Greenland to the Gulf of Mexico, Hanson reveals how Trump’s “Art of the Deal” tactics expose hypocrisies, disrupt complacency, and force renegotiations that often leave the United States in a stronger position.

Trump’s moves on Canada reveal a blunt message: free defense and favorable trade deals come at a cost. Hanson explains how this pressure unsettles Trudeau’s government and stirs debate within conservative provinces like Ontario, which could hypothetically align more with U.S. interests.

Meanwhile, Trump’s Greenland offer, dismissed as audacious, pushes Denmark to reassert its colonial ties by increasing investment—ironically highlighting the very imperialist tendencies they criticize in others. Mexico is similarly put on notice, as Hanson outlines how their reliance on U.S. remittances and border leniency is scrutinized under Trump’s leadership, with sharp critiques of their inaction on border security and the devastating toll of fentanyl on American lives.

Hanson connects these dots to Trump’s critiques of Chinese influence in the Panama Canal, a vital American-built infrastructure now vulnerable to exploitation by adversaries. Trump’s approach, Hanson argues, forces reevaluations of these relationships while mirroring the woke movement’s focus on renaming and deconstructing histories—flipping the script to expose global double standards.

In Hanson’s view, Trump’s strategy isn’t just disruptive; it’s a wake-up call to complacent allies and adversaries alike. By using irony and left-wing arguments to challenge the existing order, Trump reclaims the initiative in a world where everything is up for renegotiation."

The climate is changing, but it's mostly due to a natural cycle plus the Sun and the planets. The 'human' interference moniker is largely bullsh!t to implement more tax scams cash etc. Climate narratives/scams generate over 440 billion in revenue yearly...where does that money go? Who controls it? We could speculate lol...

Bottom line is history shows us the scams right back to the 60's and even before. 60's was we are running out of oil - Fake. 70's was Global Cooling - fake. 80's was acid rain - fake. 90's was the CFC ozone scam - fake. 2000's Gore started this 'global warming' campaign and when that was all debunked 'they' switched the narrative to 'climate change' to have more market/media penetration plus to brainwash the uninitiated public...which has worked to some degree but folks are waking up to many of these scams that really only resulted in higher tax bases and these climate clowns have't hit ONE climate target in 6 decades.

History shows that every single decade since the 60's a 'climate' scare has been tried and ultimately debunked. But folks still slurp these narratives it's truly remarkable.

But overall you had a sick burn on the WEF climate tax scammers lol

I'm very embedded in the larger art world... and this read exactly like post-intellectualization. Trump isn't conscious in any of his decisions on this scale, and he sure as poop isn't drawing any pre/post colonial inference when he wants to buy Greenland for "freedom of the world"

The author here, NewYorkNuck, dissects what is largely thought of as a normal political conversation through the lens of modern-day manhood. However, using the medium of an anonymous hockey message board, they dive into the question of what identity really is, questioning our preconceived notions of such identity and ownership, what role pre-conceived gender plays in disseminating and inferring information, and how important fully typed thoughts are through a rising tide of artificial intelligence and bot-driven social virality.
