You can thank the Liberal/Democratic government for that. The streets are full of criminals robbing stores without consequences, the border officers have been instructed to "deter" illegal aliens crossing but not to stop them. It's bad in both countries with the Liberals in charge.

I think I read a Bloomberg report that indicated Canadian shootings have risen 869% this year, if you think it's simply an American problem you've got your head in the sand.

Yup, up to 3 this year.
Your excuses are pathetic and you're just regurgitating Trump's dog whistles. Be better.

I should've said "gun violence" not shootings, but you get my drift, or maybe you don't.

I'm actually a Canadian citizen, I always will be because I was born there, furthermore, I'm not an American citizen, I'm a permanent resident, therefore I can't vote in federal, state, and most municipal elections down here.

We just live here because it's warmer, plain and simple.

I bet you would be back up here in a second if you got cancer.

God no, I would receive substandard treatment up there. Socialist healthcare would tell me to get my affairs in order if they had to spend too much money to help me. We are fully insured in the US, I would 100% not go up there. My chances of survival would be way better down here.

If I didn’t have insurance, sure, I’d come home and get the best treatment I could at home and probably be fine. Depends on what stage I was at. The amount of income taxes I paid over 30 plus years would more than cover what it would cost I’d imagine.

This is horse poop. The problem is the guns, not the aliens.

Change the constitution, ban firearms outright, the number of mass shootings will go way way down. As for Canada, it’s less of a problem. Still a problem.

Gun crazy culture, there will be another civil war before there’s gun reform. It’s just simply not going to happen in our lifetime. A good first step would be to make it a lot harder to legally acquire a gun, they can’t even do that.

Truthfully it’s not really that hard to buy a gun in Canada either, despite what people may think. Because I hold a valid FAC, restricted/non-restricted, I could come up to Canada on Friday night and legally have a new gun in my hands by Saturday afternoon.

They can't even make it slightly maybe a little bit harder (at times, maybe) to acquire a gun. Good luck trying to get to "a lot harder"

Ya, and I'm saying they can't even do less than making it a lot harder. They can't even make it slightly inconvenient. They can't get background checks in place on the majority of gun sales, and that's like a baby step.

"Current federal law requires background checks to be performed for anyone purchasing a firearm at a federally licensed gun dealer–however only 40% of guns sold in the US are sold through a federally licensed dealer. In most states, sales at gun shows, flea markets, and private gun sales are not subject to regulations."

It's funny/sad/sad when these shootings don't even make a blip on the major news anymore. Just part of the fabric of life down there.

No, a far left American, eccentric, Liberal, 67 year old college professor with a PHD named Anthony (Tony) Polito. Shot three faculty members because he wasn't hired for the position he applied for.

Well if both were downing I would throw Donny an anchor to help him along and I would keep motoring and to leave Justin to his own fate.

Hate to change the subject, because this is all so fascinating, but what's the deal with trans kids (and by kids I mean young adults)?
- 1970vintage

Mentally ill. Plus extremely bad and inept parenting.
