You are pretty (frank)ed in the head if you think that electing Trump is good for the country of USA. Biden needs to move on and allow someone younger and savvy to take his spot, but electing a guy who wants nothing more than to be a dictator over someone that gets two names wrong….we’ll you are (frank)ed in the head.
- Makita

Where did I say electing Trump is a good idea? I thought about saying we're (frank)ed either way, but decided not to thinking y'all wouldn't assume I'm a Trump supporter, unfortunately I was wrong....

Ok, I'll say it...we're (frank)ed either way!! Are you happy now? I just thought it was comical this nation would actually vote for a guy who is lost mentally even though he's running against another guy who's lost mentally, but on a different scale.

There are 340 million people here, and this is the best they can come up with???

One is 77 and the other one is 81. Both are going senile. Joe’s just got a head start.

This is an electorate that chose people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, and George Santos. I mean, who votes for a guy like George Santos?

I'd pass on Kessel and Risto.

I think you'll see a forward or two step up from the AHL to provide some stretch run and playoff help.

Here's what US allies are allowed to do...

https://www.latimes.com/o...in%20other%20war%20zones.

Opinion: I’m an American doctor who went to Gaza. What I saw wasn’t war — it was annihilation.

I stopped keeping track of how many new orphans I had operated on. After surgery they would be filed somewhere in the hospital, I’m unsure of who will take care of them or how they will survive. On one occasion, a handful of children, all about ages 5 to 8, were carried to the emergency room by their parents. All had single sniper shots to the head. These families were returning to their homes in Khan Yunis, about 2.5 miles away from the hospital, after Israeli tanks had withdrawn. But the snipers apparently stayed behind. None of these children survived.

___

They will talk some BS and take some insignificant action but will be ready to veto any real attempt to stop Israel. As they have always done.

Let’s be honest, it’s more than just “US allies” that are turning a blind eye to what’s going on. Even nations (even most Middle East nations) are not taking much action considering the carnage (other than a few nations who have experienced oppression like South Africa and Ireland). China, Russia, and the UN make toothless statements and cast votes on non-binding resolutions. Just political posturing.

Israel knows there is no meaningful collective at this time that will take serious action against them, so they continue without hesitation. In fact, we are seeing more and more countries taking a harder stance against Islamic proliferation; China and India being two significant perpetrators.

The years ahead will be difficult.

America has more influence over Israel than anyone in the world. Their existence depends on American money, weapons and media. America has used 70% of their vetos to block anyone from taking action against Israel's crimes. UN actions against Israel have always been toothless because of America blocking anything to do with Israel. You try and pass the buck onto nations who are not taking action... but if anyone intervenes, they would have to fight USA and face their media campaigns painting them as anti Semite jew haters and terrorists.

Israel wants to push Gazans into Egypt. They are trying to sell this as a solution. That is nothing more than ethnic cleansing. They are sniping little children... tens of thousands of civilians have been murdered in this recent chapter alone. These people have been directly targeted. It's been hundreds of thousands throughout my life. This is genocide.

Yes, many words expressing understanding and sympathy. That should wash clean and absolve. After all, it’s the evil-doers that cause all this trouble, not any of us.

Do you expect anything less from a nation that officially ended segregation in 1965? I was born four years later in 1969. It's crazy, yet we even have a few on here that adore the US and continually defend it. Even as Canadians. So weird.

USA veto's a resolution for a ceasefire...like I said they would do. Biden was talking ceasefire until it was put to a vote then contradicts himself again. This is America's 3rd veto since Israel started destroying Gaza this time around.

UNITED NATIONS, Feb 20 (Reuters) - The United States on Tuesday again vetoed a draft United Nations Security Council resolution on the Israel-Hamas war, blocking a demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire as it instead pushes the 15-member body to call for a temporary ceasefire linked to the release of hostages held by Hamas.

Thirteen council members voted in favor of the Algerian-drafted text, while Britain abstained. It was the third U.S. veto of a draft resolution since the start of the current fighting on Oct. 7. Washington has also used its veto to block an amendment to draft resolution in December.

We all know what the US is, so not sure what point you are trying to make. It's like preaching to the choir. You'll find no arguments in here against your dislike for that evil empire.
