He got 70pts bc he was in the 1C role with Ottawa
He would NOT be in that role here
His points will drop back down to 60ish bc he will be the 2C
And he will not be getting those same opportunities
Or be playing with Mark Stone on his wing
Duchene on buffalo is a 20-25goal scorer,
with 60ish points - jdfitz77
you don't think he would roll 2 lines, like the pens did with crosby and malkin?
I certainly think they would and your closer to 80 points a year if olofsson and/or nylander pan out and casey is moved to the wing
casey-eichel-nylander
olofsson-duchene-reinhart
or
skinner-eichel-reinhart
sheary/olofsson-casey-okposo/nylander |

thought you had to take a few penalties if you had grit
I kid
duchene at 10 per and no assets moved IMO would be better then moving assets to get karlsson and lock him up in the 6 to 7 mil range
unless vegas wants okposo - homiedclown
🙂
It's funny you say that, that was my knock on ror. How hard can you be playing to win, a have 2 penalties all season.
What I should have said is ror is a working the cycle, dow low guy
True grit comes with pims |

So could Mitts with those 2
And we won’t have to pay him 10mil per - jdfitz77
I don't know about that... I hope Mitts does turn into that... I would just rather pay someone right now who has all ready produced... |

I like Trouba, wouldn’t move 7OA for him though. 7OA is pretty untouchable if you ask me unless a team is looking to move an absolute stud in the 21-24 YO range which is highly unlikely. |

And Karlsson is actually GOOD defensively
And will cost around 3mil less per season
It’s a no brainer IF we could trade for him - jdfitz77
give up casey and our second first rounder
that's about what the price will be
or samuelson, nylander and a second rd pick |

Same board who I’ll be laughing at when he’s a 40-45 point centre in a year and a half and still making $7.5M a year. - Pegullaville

Ok I was disappointed in Mitts’ production this year as well but the trade proposals I’m seeing to get rid of him are too much. |

There's a fundamental difference between getting rid of someone and giving to get.
It's not CM for two 2nds and a 3rd
Most of them are CM for someone better than CM |

Wait people want to get rid of him?
I know he's not exactly lighting it up but the dude doesn't turn 21 until November. |

After he gains about 30 lbs. because he's not a 2nd line center. I would have no problem including him in any deal to make this team better. - SABRES 89

Problem there is we don't know how good Mitts will be. Showed flashes of brilliance. He got loads better defensively as the year went along, and his offense started catching up by the end. IMHO, it's too early to move on from him unless someone is willing to overvalue him. Getting even value for a guy Draft + 2 how looked like a potential steal and possibly the best player in the draft is a little early. Moving him for WK is an upgrade now, will it be in 3/4 years, and what else does it require to get him? Also, Botts first pick prolly has to royally (frank) up to be moved at all. Just saying |

I don't disagree. Im not saying they should or shouldn't move him, just that its not "getting rid" of him.
Really comes down to what they think his ceiling is. |

They have sever cap issues and pretty sure someone mentioned a while back he could be available.
IMO, it’d make losing Skinner far less painful. |

I liked Chad ruhwedel.
He wasn't the biggest p*ssy in the nhl .
I like frindge players too.
Just not spineless dudes who stand by and watch the franchise player get his face ripped off.
Then he tries to validate that , by getting his ass kicked trying to defend himself a couple games later

Trouba, Trouba, Trouba.
I do not know why or why not. I cannot get behind trading the potential of the 7 OA for Please enlighten, if you will.
424 36 158 194 -143
408 42 137 179 +37
While the +/- is a function of team, more than the individual, aren't the two players represented by the numbers above, similar?
I would argue Trouba would be a -143 on the Sabres. I do not see the upgrade with him over Risto. Someone with a PhD in analytics will tell me I am a fool but, I am not sure I am.
Perhaps another case of "Get Rid Of {insert name here}. - TC4145
I'll condense the argument:
Recent 7th overall picks:
Kadri
Scheifele
Skinner
Andersson
Provorov
Keller
Dumba
H. Fleury
Nurse
Depending on your point of view, Trouba is at least as good as many of these guys, and is better than some. He turned 25 two months ago, and would balance our d pairs, while allowing us to safely move Risto for much-needed forward help. He is more stable defensively than Risto, and more suited to a partnership with Dahlin than Risto or Montour. His addition, plus the return for Risto, coupled with smart signings and the development of young players means that we'd have a good team. My perfect off-season looks like this
To TBL - Risto, Blues 2021 2nd
To Buf - Callahan, Cirelli
To WPG - 7oa
To But - Trouba
To Dallas - Scandella
To Buf - 5th round pick
Sign: Skinner, Hayes, Dzingel
Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Olofsson-Hayes-Dzingel
Cirelli/Mitts-Mitts/Cirelli-Okposo
Sheary-Erod-Callahan
Asplund
Sobotka
Dahlin-Trouba
McCabe-Montour
Pilut-Bogo
Hunwick
Still have next year's 1st and pick #30. I think it would be a decent team |

VGK could just move 2 of Eakin, Holden, Karlsson (or maybe all 3) and it'd solve their problems. |
