Mitts has played one full season, Barzal was still in the WHL at this point of his career. Nylander I believe should be a part of a trade package but if heโs still here needs to make an impact. Tage is a developmental project but if he commits to the weight room I think he has untapped potential that can see him becoming an Alex Tuch type player but it all depends if we are patient enough with him and give him the time to get there. - Pegullaville

When Yakupov was 20 he played for Sarnia.
It can go either way. |

He could be huge but not sure our fate is in him. Solid play in front of the goalie can make up for average goaltending. - SabresFaninIndiana
And spectacular goaltending can make up for crap play in front of him and get you to within one game of a conference finals sweep. ๐๐
(I know what you're saying, though) |

I witnessed Hasek so I clearly know what spectacular goaltending can cover up๐. But that type of goaltending is once in a lifetime. I would rather build up the team in front than rely on fleecing the blackhawks in a trade. |

I think we may have something special in UPL, anyway.
Hoping that when Hutton's contract ends, Luukkonen is ready to step in. |

That would be awesome if whatever his name is turns into something good. This has probably been the longest drought in Sabres history for a true starting goalie. |

how about sending him to Pitts with the late 1st rounder we have for Malkin? Would you take 3 years of malkin at 9+ mil a year? I think I would... I think Malkin gets traded this summer...
Edit: before anyone kills me for that proposal, I think it would take more then just that.... - hehateme

And the Sabres have always had good goaltending. That's pretty much been a constant. Well, until recently. |

Even during the early tank years whoever we threw in net played well. Enroth, lindback, neuvirth. They all played well then got traded. |

No letโs trade him for a 2nd line C that might have 4 years left of average 2nd line production. |

Ok I was disappointed in Mittsโ production this year as well but the trade proposals Iโm seeing to get rid of him are too much. - Pegullaville

Karlsson would have been 3rd on the Sabres in goals and 4th in points by large margins.
He has had a really great season and a pretty good season.

I kinda agree with you based on last year.
Its always the future...... with the Sabres
Jbotts made him his first ever nhl general manager pick.
I'd say he's safe: like montour safe |
