You'll notice other than making a sarcastic reply in kind to your statement that my opinion was wrong to show how foolish you're acting, I haven't said that you are wrong, only that I disagree. In fact I have even stated that I think it's reasonable that every goal scored be reviewed. If necessary, i'll provide that link for where I stated that in this conversation. You're not being genuine and instead have to resort to commenting on me personally simply because I don't see it the same way as you do and I have effectively argued my position. That's showing weakness on your part.

He is a referee. As he works sometimes on the ice and sometimes in the booth and he is just part of the officials team in either place—that attitude is less likely.

see thats where i disagree. im not saying to go back and review penalties. penalties are the only instance where i believe the human element should come into play. now, once a penalty is called, can you review the excessiveness of it? sure, why not. because the ref didnt feel as if it was a trip, the play went on. thats when the hand pass, which is in the rulebook as being not allowed, should have been reviewed and the goal not count.

now of course with delay of game penalties, its more black and white than a trip. if the ref felt as if the player had control of his stick and it was the other player who initiated the contact and was tripped as a result, well thats where we need the refs, to interpret what happens on the ice. but a delay of game call is black and white, and that should be able to be reviewed. hand passes are black and white, pucks hit by a high stick is black and white. these are where change should happen, to ensure things are being called accurately, the things that are black and white and that should be called accurately

Boston is looking like the favorite. I mean, on paper the Sharks should roll over everyone but they’re not. Thornton, Pavelski, Burns, Couture, Kane, Karlsson, Vlasic and Jones Big names in this league. The longer it takes for the west series to end, the better Boston looks in my opinion.

that in my opinion is where the line has to be drawn. thats where i believe it will get too crazy. i mean if a ref misses a trip, or a hold, or something, thats where the human element i believe comes into play. or, if a ref doesnt think a certain play deserves a penalty, like when refs will "let them play." however, when there are blatant, black and white things, that can and should be reviewed, like:

- Delay of game
- High sticking (how many times have you seen a player on the same team of a guy hit their player with a stick and the other team gets penalized, thats ridiculous) also in the event if the stick is above the cross bar or not, or if it was played by a high stick and the same team touches the puck (just like a hand pass)
- Match/major penalties (should be reviewed like Flagrant Fouls in bball or targeting in football due to the seriousness of the injury)

and also, if there was a hand pass, thats a blatant rule. i feel like it should be reviewed. there are certain things that should or should not be reviewed. all you do is list, exactly like every sport, what is reviewable or not. as of now, this is not reviewable. all you gotta do is say it is reviewable. it doesnt open up like a wormhole for other things, it just opens up allowing a review for a hand pass. thats it.
