I never did say it was balanced. I just think this whole refs favor the Bruins drum your beating is a bit ridiculous. May I ask why you even bother watching if you truly believe the league is rigged against the Leafs and for the Bruins? I’d love to know why you’d willingly waste your time. - RickJames77
not a waste of time at all... good instantiation of my expectations...
Leafs lost/Bruins won in 7 games... its not like it was a series dominated by one team or the other...
and the fact that one game or another was influenced by the officiating doesn't discourage me from believing that the better team will win...
this year, the Bruins were the better team, had far better special teams and that was what decided the series.
but please don't attempt to feed me a dinner of delicious revisionist history.... Bruins won, irrefutable... officiating was shyte... also irrefutable.
that being said - why was special teams so impactful? |

Ok gang. Let's keep it Leafs, Marlies and Raps. Marlies finally back in action tonight. Never checked TSN today to see if game might be on. And the Raps best not take a 4th quarter snozze tonight. - Leafsmart
Try snooze. |

I'll field this one;
Because Babcock had a one-legged LW, taking faceoffs against the best faceoff man in the league..
Did I win? What do I get?

Yeah, that was bad.. It's the Bruins, we all know the refs favour them... Right RJ? - PatC80
I want all the refs to wear the cameras... so we know after the fact exactly what they "didn't see"...
I loved the after nonsense with Kerry Fraser in 1993... " I couldn't see" ... there was a clear TV feed, where you can see Gretzky, Gilmour and Fraser looking directly at them.
must have been "hysterical blindness"

my favourite memory of that, is when Gretzky slowly starts skating toward the penalty box, cause he knew it was a penalty. |

that was ridiculous after the fact... guy's playing on one leg... and you won't put Tavares or Matthews out there because? (we'll get 'em next game)
Babcock should be called out for his stubborness. just silly.

I don’t understand why he doesn’t play Matthews more in general. |

how do you not know yet?
Matthews isn't a gud pro, like Brown, or Marleau, or Komarov or Kris Draper, or;(insert 4th line winger here) |

I think he’s an overrated coach, personally. And I feel like every year there’s something that reaffirms it to me. He’s too stubborn to change it seems. We had a similar issue with Julien before he was shown the door. |

Well, one thing is for sure... If we see a William Nylander for Luke Glendenning trade this summer, we will all know who was behind it. |

I think Nylander would look great on the Habs. Joel Armia is a good pro!
But oh well, looks like we're getting Eberle.
Thanks Eklund! |

Babschlong would have to add to the deal to get that done.
Any FA targets you’d like to see added? I’d assume you’d be looking at cheap depth because you have the unfortunate task of paying talented players. |

Get it done! Either way I don’t care.
Then play either one with Drouin. That’d be the softest line in hockey

Obviously the main guy I'd target would be Panarin. He's exactly what we need: Elite talent up front.
Eberle is actually an interesting idea.... He's had a subpar production last year but I believe it's partly caused by the Islanders new system.... he'd be a great upgrade on what we have on the RW (basically nothing good aside from Gallagher) but I wouldn't want him at more than 5.5M per year.... more than that is both too risky and probably not worth it.
And I hope to god we don't sign Gardiner. Despite our LHD needs. |
