Tank and rebuild! YEEEEEEAH BOI

I try to enjoy the chaos of it all.

The NHL is getting squirrelly, the norms have evolved. People should stop using outdated templates for success. Every season is a riddle, you have to figure it out along the way. Copy cats rarely win.

Yep, and last year what Grubauer did for Holtby.

I hate to say it, but UG seems to he right on the whole goalies being fatigued and needing less games during the regular season.

- LeafGuy89

That would have been a solid acquisition for the Leafs. Could be a cheaper replacement for Andersen when he's a UFA in a couple years.

Backup might be the most underrated position. I’d like to see teams use two goalies more. I never used to think that, but the evidence is pretty clear now.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

With 82 games, even a 50/32 split would be better.

If Andersen didn't get hurt, he'd probably end up playing as much as 2017/2018.

Leafs actually have some goalie depth.. Scott and Woll are really good, and Woll has already practiced with the Leafs. Kaskisuo can stop pucks, Hutch and Sparks as well.

Vasi, Price, Bob, are probably all better. But yeah this yeah he probably should have been a finalist. Rielly got gyped too.

Sparks: F

Look at the difference Halak made for Rask.

Get a proper back-up.

When Sweden gets knocked out of the tournament,

Nylander: “I had a late start, I missed much of training camp because I had to play for the Leafs, unfortunately”

Not really. He's over rated.

Sparks was .902%. McElhinney was .912%.

That 1% difference is most likely due to the way the Hurricanes play. He wouldn't have been much better behind a Leafs team indifferent to defensive play.

The Leafs had the Bruins on the brink of elimination, twice. Jackets and Canes combined have less wins (against the Bruins) than the Leafs.

They’ll be fine.

- Steven_Seagull

Cool story.
Doesn't change that they werent a playoff team since January.
No one said they wouldn't be fine.
Jesus people its not one extreme or the other.

I stopped following it a while back, but I'm aware of the recent plot events. I just lol @ the people who named their daughter Khaleesi.

Honestly, how did people not see that coming.

The Leafs played like poop from January on and their play against Boston was disappointing at times.

That being said, nobody gave Boston more trouble than the Leafs. That series was the ECF played a month early.

Just goes to show what some improvement on the blueline could do.
